HOW WE BECOME ACIDThe development of latent "acidosis"

    http://www.euroamericanhealth.com/how.html

If we look for common denominators to alldiseases, factors that make any disease youhave worse, then correcting these factors willhelp and perhaps cure, whatever is wrong withyou.

The fact is, every diseasebegins, at a cellularlevel, with those particularcellsbecoming acid, toxic,

    polluted.Since the

internalenvironment orinternal milieu thecells live in effects all diseases, this is the best place to start, no matter what is

    wrong with you.

    The acid/base balance

or lack thereofin this internalmilieu, is easy to evaluate. Simply, you

measure how acidyour saliva and urineare, at home. This will beexplained thoroughly under Urine and Saliva

Testing and as stated this is an exceedinglyuseful tool in following your own health.

HOW WE BECOMEACIDFirst, I would like to describe what a latent"

acidosis" is and how we get into such acondition. Then I'll go into some detail aboutthe significance of this as the changes thathappen in our body as our cells become acid

are profound. ChronicDegenerative Diseaseis what develops and is what this is all about.

pHHow acid something is determined by

    6/108

measuring its pH. The pH of anything is set on

a scale of from 1 to 14. pH 1 is themost acid, like the acid in your carbattery. pH 14 is the mostbasic, like the lye you spray in an ovento clean it.

Water is supposed tobe neutral at a pH of7.0. The pH of the blood

has to remain exactly7.40, all thetime...exactly.If the blood's pH rises or falls one tenth of a pHunit you are in intensive care in the hospital

where the pH of your bloodis monitored verycarefully. If it moves

    7/108

    two tenths either way

it is lethal. How the blood always maintains a constant pHis a very complex matter and one thateverything in the body helps to maintain, aseverything in the body depends on thissameness. Healthy blood just transportsthings, in and out. It doesn't change in

composition itself, it can't and be healthy. As hospital medicine is only concerned withserious illnesses, this is the only place inregular medicine that pH is taken seriously.

    Arterial blood pH is

measured frequentlyin intensive carebecause here the pHof the blood itself

does change. This is considered a real acidosis, ascompared to a latent one, and is a very seriouscondition.

  • 8/14/2019 Www.muliply.com - 3.008 Blog - A New Biology, How We Become Acid

    8/108

As far as preventative, or regular day-to-daymedicine is concerned, these concepts arecompletely disregarded by modern allopathicdoctors. Because this process of

becoming acidcorrelates directlywith the onset of old

age and thedevelopment ofchronic degenerativedisease, it becomes more important,in a way, to deal with it first as an 'outpatient',than as a patient in the hospital.

Strong Acids, WeakAcids and ProteinThe strong acids in our bodies are those that

    are formed by the

    degradation of

    protein. These are1)sulfuric acid,3)phosphoric acidand 3)nitric acid.

These are strong, like thebattery acid in yourcar.

Strong acids are strong incontradistinction toweak acids such asvinegar and citrus

    juices.Weak acids do not ionize

    10/108

    (break apart

completely) when in solution, whereas strong acidsdo. This is why vinegardoes not burn holes

in your clothes, ordissolve your bones; itdoes not break apart completely into an acid

and a base part, it remains

partly a salt.A salt is formed whenan acid and a basecombine and

neutralized eachother. In fact, vinegar, although an acid when you eat

    11/108

it, does not stay that way. Weak acids like the

acetic acid in vinegar, tartaric acid and theacids in most fruitsand lemons, contain

lots of mineralswhich are basic, along withtheir weak acid part. The weak acidpart combines with

water and isconverted intocarbonic acid whichthen breaks apart

    into carbon dioxideand water.

  • 8/14/2019 Www.muliply.com - 3.008 Blog - A New Biology, How We Become Acid

    12/108

    You breathe out the

carbon dioxide andpass the water outthrough yourkidneys. The minerals remain behind to replenishdeficient minerals so in fact these weak acids

in the end, alkalinize thebody by adding more

minerals to it.The opposite happens with the excretion ofstrong acids, as they take out or leachminerals out of the body.

This is where the problem lies.

    The Main Reason We

    Become Acid Is FromOver-consumption Of

    13/108

Protein! When protein breaks down in our bodies, itbreaks down into the above mentioned strong

acids. These three acidsmust be excreted bythe kidneys becausethey contain sulfur, phosphorus ornitrogen which cannot

break down intowater and carbondioxide to be eliminated as the weakacids are.

In theirpassage throughthe kidneys thesestrong acids must

  • 8/14/2019 Www.muliply.com - 3.008 Blog - A New Biology, How We Become Acid

    14/108

    take a basic mineral

with them because inthis way they areconverted into theirneutral saltsand don't burn the kidneys on their way out aswould happen if these acids were excreted intheir free acid form.

Sulfuric acid or any of the strong acids areexcreted mainly as the salts of sodium, potassium, magnesium or calcium as theseare the main basic minerals of the body, the

ones that are the most plentiful. The

sulfur in sulfuric acidcan and doescombine with the

calcium in yourbones for one and isexcreted as the

    15/108

    corresponding salt

which is calledcalcium sulfate. This salt does not harm the kidneys on its way

through them but it does rob the

    body of the neededbasic calcium.

By taking all thesebasic minerals out of

the body you make thebody relatively moreacid. A latent"acidosis" developsthen because the body becomes relatively

    base deficient. BecomingBASE DEFICIENT is

    16/108

    the same as

becoming acid, right?Latent "acidosis" is not the frank or realacidosis (so the quotes) of hospital medicinebecause the pH of the blood itself does notchange.

We need protein, obviously, but all weneed is 40 grams aday, a training athlete may

    need 80 grams a day.

The average Americandiet on the other

bacon and eggs for breakfast, etc.. We allknow that the "richer" we became as acivilization and more "advanced", the moremeat we eat. Plato knew this in ancientGreece and toward the end of that civilizationI'm sure they had all the 'modern' degenerativediseases that plague us today and, "fastfoods".

This is a reason postulated for the

extinction of theMayan Indians, theirskeletons aredemineralized, as if

they too had beensoaked in excessacid. Maybe toward the end they becameso rich they ate Big-Mac Hamburgers too.

    organ of schade

As the blood can notchange, it picks upthe acids andtransports them firstto the connectivetissues of the bodywhere they are

    stored.

This is the largest organ of the body really andin Europe it is called the colloid connectivetissue organ of SCHADE. The

collagen fibers of thebody are specificacid catchers. It is also calleda pre-kidney as that is how it functions,

    storing acids prior to

    delivery to the

kidneys for excretion. Also it is the organ thatconnects, holdseverything in ourbodies in place. It iscomposed ofligaments, tendons

    and the likeobviously but as

these break down into finer and finer fibers itbecomes literally the scaffolding that holds

every single cell in our bodies in place. Iftoo many acids need

storing in this organ, which includes themuscles,

    20/108

    inflammation and

    pain develop.

Fibromyalgia is anacid disease for sure. The space enclosed by these finer and finerfibers, is called PISHINGER'S SPACE, fromthe German scientist that described it.Essentially, this is the

    extracellular spacethat contains the

fluids that bathe andfeed each and everycell while carryingaway the wastes from

those same cells. There is no mention of this organ in American, physiology text books, there is the extracellularspace but no organ that stores acids like this,

    no pre-kidney.

Base flood and basetideThere is also a daily rhythm to this acid-base,ebb and flow called by Friedrich Sander theBase Flood and Base Tide. The stored acids

are mobilized from the connective tissues andPishinger's Space while we sleep. These

acids reach theirmaximum (base tide)concentration in this

fluid, and thereby theurine, at 2:00 AM, so theurine is the most acid at this time. The acidcontent of the urine directly reflects the acidcontent of the fluid in Pishinger's Space, theextracellular fluid compartment of the body.

By the time you get up though, in themorning, all the acids

Therefore, your A.M. urine, the second voidedspecimen after you get up, should be back to

about neutral, close to pH7.00 (pH 6.8 to beexact).Because most everyone is acid, this is hardly

ever the case. More andmore acidsaccumulate day afterday and chronic,

degenerative diseasedevelops as the direct result of thepleomorphic changes that take place in theblood as discussed above. Each day we addto the acids not disposed of the day before.

On the other hand, this Pishinger's Space,

becomes most alkaline around 2:00 PM, theBase Flood, as then the most bicarbonate isbeing generated by the cover cells of thestomach (see below), after lunch and breakfasthave been metabolized, actually. If your urine

  • 8/14/2019 Www.muliply.com - 3.008 Blog - A New Biology, How We Become Acid

    24/108

is not alkaline at 2:00 P.M. you are definitely inan acid condition.

    * * *

BICARBONATEIn the normal situation, hydrochloric acid isproduced by the cover cells of the stomach.

    Table salt, sodium

chloride, is split intohydrochloric acid andsodium bicarbonate. The production of each molecule ofhydrochloric acid is matched by the production

of an equivalent molecule of sodiumbicarbonate

The acid goes into the stomach and thesodium bicarbonate goes into the blood streamand circulates all around, first flushing out theexcess acid in the tissues and especially, freeing the collagen fibers and the colloidal

connective tissue organ from the adsorbedacids stored there. Any bicarb that is left over,is picked up by the alkaline glands, the liver, pancreas, etc..

  • 8/14/2019 Www.muliply.com - 3.008 Blog - A New Biology, How We Become Acid

    25/108

Of course, this is why ourbodies

are most alkalinearound 2:00 P.M. .This is after ourstomachs have pretty

well digestedbreakfast and lunch. The stomachs have made all the hydrochloricacid they needed for that and the equivalentamount of sodium bicarbonate needed to

neutralize the body and refill the alkalineglands of the body, pancreas, liver, etc.. Afterthose glands digested the breakfast and lunchthey need filled up again too! Where does their

alkalinity come from?It comes from the

blood and from thealkaline food we eat,

    and/or replace the minerals.

THESE LOST BASEMINERALS CANONLY BE REPLACEDWITH FRUITS AND

VEGETABLES.We have to eat our fruits and vegetables!"An apple a day doeskeep the doctor

away."This is so because the minerals from plants, organic minerals, are the only ones our bodies

can use. Organic mineralsare much different

    then the mineralsfrom rocks, inorganic

    29/108

    minerals.

Sodium from a plantfor example, is muchdifferent than thesodium from tablesalt. For the basis of this discussion itwould be best to assume that they are not thesame at all. You can eat all the table salt youwant and the cells themselves can still be

sodium or base deficient. The sodium

used for buildingcells has to beorganic, from plantsand it is the main base mineral we havebecause there is so much of it. Sodium

chloride or table salt serves an entirelydifferent function in the body.

In the same way, calcium from a plant is a lotdifferent from say "Tums for the Tummy".

  • 8/14/2019 Www.muliply.com - 3.008 Blog - A New Biology, How We Become Acid

    30/108

    Tums are calcium

carbonate orlimestone, a groundup rock.We can't digest rocks, that's what plants do.

We simply don't eat enough fruits andvegetables to compensate for the minerals

lost, because of our"rich", fastlife diets. If we areBASE DEFICIENT, andmost of us are, then our whole body is in arelatively acid condition. That is all there is toit.

    * * *

LATENT "ACIDOSIS"So, in this acid condition we are talking about,

we aren't "acidotic" in so many words, rather

we are base deficient. This is why 80 or90 year old, old folks,

    31/108

    are shrunk up, little

people. They have nomineral stores left.

When all the mineralsare gone, so are we,our battery runsdown. It is just like a battery. The cells of our body docarry a charge that can be measured as theoxidation/reduction potential of the blood. This

    energy potentialdecreases with aging,

    just as the mineralsdo.

We become moreoxidized (so the need

    32/108

for antioxidants). Boththings occur because of hyper-proteinization,too much protein.

We aren't acidotic as they say in a hospital, inshock, when things have gone so bad that thevery pH of the blood itself begins to change,Code Blue. Rather, in a state of latent"acidosis" we are full of stored acid residues, residues stored in the Pishinger space waiting

for a ride out on base minerals that aren'tthere. This is the latent in latent "acidosis".Blood values have not started to change yet,so the acidosis is stored in the tissues as itwere. The tissues are acid but technically thisis not an acidosis either as the blood appearsnormal.

If things get worse, this latent "acidosis" canproceed into what is called a compensatedacidosis. This means the blood pH itself stillhasn't started to change but other values in theblood have had to change to keep the bloodpH the same 7.40 that it is supposed to be.Decompensated acidosis is when the blood pHitself is effected.

in the blood. Carbon dioxide, CO2, combineswith water, H2O, to form carbonic acid,H2CO3. Blow off carbonic acid which will lowerthe carbon dioxide content of the blood andyou will increase the pH of the blood. Thisincreased breathing rate happens in diabeticacidosis for the same reason.

Also the plasma bicarbonate level [HCO3-]which is measured as part of the bloodgasses, is decreased. Because of the relative

base deficiency, the stomach can no longerproduce the required amount of stomach acidso the corresponding bicarbonate that shouldcome from the reverse synthesis of thehydrochloric acid, just isn't there.

Also since the sodium and other base mineralsare decreased, bicarbonate is actually lost out

the kidneys because there aren't enoughbases like sodium to connect with thebicarbonate so the kidneys can reabsorb them. This point will be covered more below.

This is the compensated metabolic acidosis ofhospital medicine then, low PCO2concentration, decreased bicarbonate level[HCO3-] with little effect on blood pH yet.

In the type of latent "acidosis" we are talkingabout there are no changes in the bloodgasses. The blood pH, PCO2, [HCO3-], are allnormal. The latent "acidosis" we are talking

  • 8/14/2019 Www.muliply.com - 3.008 Blog - A New Biology, How We Become Acid

    35/108

about hasn't developed into the compensatedmetabolic acidosis described above.

When the breathing rate can no longer get anyfaster and when the kidneys can no longerincrease their function to keep up with the acidload then, the blood pH itself does start tochange, it can fall from 7.4 down to 7.2. This isdecompensated metabolic acidosis and is amost serious condition. At blood pH of 6.95 theheart relaxes with coma and death.

Acids that come fromoutside the bodyThe Latent acidosis described above is

through the development ofexogenous (the problem comesfrom the outside of the body) baseunder-nourishment,

not eating enoughfruits and vegetablesand consuming too much acid protein. This of

    * * *

    Acids That ComeFrom Inside TheBody

The second way this "latent acidosis" candevelop or be aggravated is through the

pathologicalformation of acids inthe organism. These

are calledendogenous acids(come from inside the body).

This frequently happens as a consequence of

    intestinalfermentation in the

    intestine, too many of

the wrong kinds ofbacteria there (seebelow, Dysbiosis). This can also happen if there is amalfunctioning organ in the body, heart, liver,

whatever, a diseased organ, an organ injuredin an accident or one inherited that way.Anything that doesn't work right, producestoxic, acid by-products, oxidants.

These acid by-products then can be the endresult of the base under nourishment ormalfunctioning organs with the symptoms

described above or they can be theforerunners of and cause of furtherdegeneration of organs. When this happensthere is no more "latent", acidosis. It becomesa frank acidotic condition, compensated todecompensated acidosis, diabetic coma andthe like.

With the above scenario come the diseasesthat call forth, through anomalies of their own

    metabolism, the more serious

    acid producing

conditions such asdiabetes, uremia orkidney failure, hepatic failure, heart

failure and other such illnesses. Inthese conditions the acidosis is only latent inits beginning state.

As the illness progresses, the endogenous(from in the body) production of toxic, metabolic acids quickly becomes worse,

attacking not only the alkala-reserve of thebody, from the liver, pancreas, etc., but alsothe alkala-reserve of the blood itself.

As we get base deficient, the digestion itself isalso is effected. The bile from the gall bladderand the digestive juices from the pancreas allhave to have a lot of base in them, sodiumbicarb actually, to be able to neutralize thestomach acid as it passes out of the stomachand into the intestine and in order to activatethe enzymes from the pancreas that require an

alkaline medium in which to work. If the

acid from thestomach isn'tneutralized, colitis orinflammation of theintestine can happen. As stated above, the main problem withdecreased acid in the stomach is that asthe cells that make the acid in the stomachmake acid, they also make the base, sodium bicarbonate. If these cells don't

make enough acid they don't make enoughbase either.

Again, the sodium bicarbonate/base that ismade as the stomach makes its hydrochloricacid is carried by the blood stream to the

When this dys-biosis orwrong growth begins,it begins with fermentation and as

Thisvinegar acid and the other things can cause"heart burn" too, along with the bloating andgas that come with the fermentation processbut this kind of heart burn is not from too muchacid, hydrochloric acid, it is from not enough.

In this kind of heart burn, that comes an houror two after you eat, other acids form, aceticacid as in vinegar and other putrefactive acids.

These acids cause the "heart" burn. The

well as with a goodamount ofhydrochloric acid, itis fermenting instead. These rotten things are reabsorbed back intothe body and picked up by the blood like

toxins, pimples, rashes and other skinproblems develop.

With this kind of "heart burn" one hurts aftereating, right away or an hour or two later, rather than before as with an ulcer. This can

    Decreased Acid InThe Stomach

Achlorhydria, Absentor Decreased Acidcauses indigestion for sure and is morecommon than "heart burn" or real over acidproduction, especially in older folks. As above, this condition begins as the over-stimulation ofthe cover cells of the stomach, over-stimulatedso they can make more bicarbonate for theliver and pancreas because of the underlyinglatent "acidosis" and relative base deficiency.

After awhile the stomach cells just can't do itanymore, make more and more acid whiletrying to generate more base to correct thebase deficiency, the latent acidosis.

The Treatment Of The Over-acid And Under-acid Conditions Is the Same as It Is With AnyOther Disease.

    TREATMENT ISWHOLISTIC AND

GENERIC.When the stomach makes too little acid, thewhole process of using up the hydrochloric

acid in the stomach with the BasePowder does, recharge, the system, makes it work harderand in time better.Digestion improves. In the over acid condition the Base Powder

sucks the excess acid out of the system, the

whole system or body. In time the acidresidues are clearedand the base

deficiency restored sothe stomach doesn't have to make so muchacid anymore.

In the under acid condition the baking

soda stimulates theproduction of morehydrochloric acid, andtherefore blood born bicarbonate, which clearsthe latent "acidosis", restores the base mineral

deficit and the stomach cells can heal. This, intime, really works. Baking soda IVs speed boththese processes up considerably. Thetreatment for both conditions is the same asone is just an extension of the other, thehyperacid condition leading to the conditionwhere little or no hydrochloric acid is producedby the cover cells of the stomach.

2.Sodium becomes deficient first from theblood serum (most of the sodium in thebody is in the serum whereas thepotassium is inside the cells). The acidsand even excess protein itself can be, asone of the last resorts, stored in the cells

and then see what that urine pH is. Again, record this number. This number shouldbe the pH of your urine after you got rid ofyour acid load from the day before. Theacids should be gone the second time yougo to the bathroom so your urine pHshould be around 6.8 also.

3.Eat breakfast, an apple will do, anything, and five minutes after breakfast checkyour saliva again. Write this number down

also. This number should go up from whatit was before you ate, the more the better.

4.Then check your urine pH between meals,i.e. between breakfast and lunch andbetween lunch and dinner. The pH shouldalways be 7.0 to 8.5, a couple of hoursafter meals.

These five tests show the following:

1.How well your digestive system dealt withwhat you ate the night before, i.e. the AMurine pH. These numbers may changefrom day to day depending on what youdid eat the night before..

2.How well we treat ourselves in general,i.e. how "strong" the liver is. This is theAM saliva pH. This number shows theoverall state of our health, the condition of

    4. The pH of your saliva after you eatgives an indication of what the mineralreserves of your body are (the pH numbershould increase after you eat). My son justthought of a lemon for a minute and the

pH of his saliva went up a whole point. Hehad enough reserve minerals, which arebasic, to pull into his digestive system tobegin the digestive process. The

ideal saliva pHpattern is 6.8 on

breakfast.5. Besides just thinking of a lemon one can

eat one. This is a simple test that can bedone at most any time of the day. It toochecks the adequacy of the alkalinereserve of the body. When a healthyperson with adequate alkaline reserves

takes a bite of highly acid lemon, thesaliva pH drops sharply for an instant butreturns almost immediately to pH 8.5. Themore acidic the food that is eaten, themore rapid the response of the alkalinereserve, and the higher the saliva pHshould be following a meal.

6.The pH's of the urinebetween mealsshould be kept inthe basic range, pH7.0 to 8.5. After one eats, thestomach generates the necessary acid todigest the food. While doing this, it also

performs the opposite action, i.e. it makesan equivalent amount of base or bakingsoda, sodium bicarbonate, that is pickedup by the blood stream and delivered tothe alkaline glands of the body, the saliva, the pancreas and the liver. The maximumamount of base in the blood and thereforein the urine occurs one to two hours afteryou eat.

This rhythm of the acidand base flow of thebody, is called by Frederick F Sander, the Base-floods and the

To prepare this pH indicator solution you justadd a teaspoon of Turmeric to a pint of rubbingalcohol. Shake it up and let it settle.

To use it pour some of the yellow,alcohol/Turmeric solution into a test tube orsimilar container. A small drinking glass will

Getting at the cause, the Causal Therapy forthe removal of the deposit-hydrochloric-acidconsists then of removing this excess acid

    acid.

    1. The first thing todo obviously is to cutdown proteinconsumption.Proteins are:

    Eggs,

All meats (it doesn't matter if it is beef, fish orchicken),

    All dairy products,

Lots of grains, beans (a handful of kidney

beans for example has a much protein in itas a lamb chop) and cereals (oatmeal is oneof the highest protein containing foods), and

    Nuts.

    2. Increase the intake

of fruits andvegetables. An "apple a day does keep the doctor away".

    needed to recharge

the hydrochloric acidproducing ability of the stomach, and therebyand more importantly, the sodium bicarbonateproducing ability of the same.

Take 1/2 to 1 teaspoon in water or juicebetween meals of Balanced Base Powder or, if

this is not available, use the sameamount of bakingsoda in water or fruit

juice, between meals and before bed,i.e. three times a day.

The important thingis to take it on anempty stomach, so it cansuck out the excess "deposit acid" from the

acid producing cells lining the stomach(thereby generating more bicarbonate whichgoes into the blood stream) and not interferewith the acid that is needed at the times ofeating. One needs acid in the stomach to

digest food obviously so the Balanced BasePowder or baking soda should not be takenaround meal times.

If you eat breakfast at 8:00 A.M. and lunch atnoon then you would take the first dose ofBase Powder at 10:00 A.M., the samebetween lunch and dinner. It is best to sip iteven, so it can suck out acid from the stomachover a longer time, not all at once as with onebig gulp. If there isn't time to sip it, just drink it

anyway. This, done consistently, over time, iswhat makes the difference.

It is best not to eat before you retire at night. Ifyou don't eat before bed time then you cantake 1/2 to 1 tsp. of Base Powder before bedalso. If you do eat before bed then you wouldnot take the Base Powder that night.

To determine the amount of Base Powder youshould take you should check your urine pH atthe same times as you would take the BasePowder (don't take the Base Powder andcheck your urine on the same day), i.e.between meals, say at 10:00 A.M. or 2:00

P.M.. The urine should bekept at a pH of 7.0 to8.0 at all such times.

    If it is below this

number, i.e. if it stillacid then you needmore Base Powder.

If the pH staysbetween 7.0 and 8.0then you can try todecrease the amount

of powder. It is not necessary to check these pHs often, the pH of the urine at 10:00 A.M. and 2:00P.M., once every week, month, is sufficient.

It took a long time for us to become acid, forthe connective tissues and cells of the body tobecome saturated with the stored acids. Forthe same reasons, it will take some time to de-acidify the body, to neutralize and excrete allthe stored acids. This process can take one totwo years depending on how ill and/or old thepatient is. This is not a quick fix as described

above, but it will prevent and eliminate theproblems that come from being too acid, namely the problems of pleo-morphic, chronic, degenerative disease.

    4. MagnesiumThis is another macro mineral that needsreplaced. It is not included in the Base Powderbecause of its laxative effects. Everyone that isin any state of acidosis requires extrapotassium and magnesium as these are lostfrom the urine and cells when acid. ThePotassium is in the Base Powder and an

easy way to replacemagnesium is with

Magnesium citrate, obtained from a drug store. It is quite cheep, isa liquid in small pop shaped bottles and is inthe laxative section of drug stores. If you drinkthe whole bottle it will clean you out quite wellbut instead, take 1 tablespoon upon arisingand 1 tablespoon full upon retiring.

Minerals are besttaken on an empty

stomach. After opening the bottlekeep it refrigerated and it will be O.K..

    5. VomitingVomiting also rids the body of excess acid.Perhaps old time doctors where justified intheir use of emetics, medicines that help youvomit. Emetica (Apomorphine, Ipecac) or anyemetic, were frequently used for this purposeand can help. The only problem here is that asthe hydrochloric acid (HCl) is expelled, theexcess acid (H+) ion is eliminated as neededbut the chloride (Cl-) ion is also eliminated andthis can result in a relative chloride deficiency. With vomiting this chloride ion must bereplaced. This can be done by taking small

amounts of NaCl or table salt.Making yourself vomit after eating somethingyou 'shouldn't haven eaten', is not bulimia, justbecause you did it. In the process, it does ridthe body of the 'dietary indiscretion' along with, excess acid.

    6. I.V. sodiumbicarbonateThis is quite simple, harmless and cheap. Thesimplest form is to add 35 cc of 8.4% Sodium

Bicarbonate (70 meq) plus 24 cc of 20%Magnesium chloride (70 meq) in 500 cc ofsterile water. This solution is of course isotonicand variations can be made to suite thesituation. This can be given over a period ofone hour or more. The only problem I haveever had with this is in one patient, in kidneyfailure (ready for dialysis) and heart failure inwhich case it was necessary to give him lasix.I would usually give it one time per week,

except in very ill patients where it can be givenevery day. All types of patients were treatedwith IVs like this. In the condition beingdiscussed, ulcers, in time would just go away.

There are a few ways to get extratrace minerals. Youcan use sea salt,Celtic Sea Salt is the best, alittle every day. You can also drink a third of a

glass of sea water every day. Eatingsea-weeds, kelp, spirolina and the like

are good as are allsea foods.Of the trace mineral supplements the liquid

ones are preferred. Clark's Minerals is theoldest, least expensive and best of these.

These liquid traceminerals come fromthe mud ofvolcanoes. The trace minerals arestill present deep under ground. Another way

is to fertilize yourgarden with coaldust. Coal, being

crushed dinosaursand the like, has allthe trace minerals init too.

that order. These organs of course are theorgans that have to do the work in eliminatingthe toxins and acids.

Short of that, we can quit putting toxins intoour bodies. But 'we all know that' so really wedon't talk about that one. We pay doctors tosay they can 'take care of' our indiscretions butpersonally I feel it has very little to do withmedicine.

Pathagoras, after atrying career as aphysician which he did also, endedup saying too that the only medicine was goodair, diet, exercise etc., etc., etc..

Every physician is 'trying', trying to heal, tohelp yet there is a basic paradox contained inthe concept of "healing". Who is kidding who?We, as doctors don't heal anybody. God doesthat, and the patient sometimes, if they are inthe mood. So as doctors we can use less andless harmful 'medicines' at least, more andmore natural, less and less expensive - giveGod and Nature a break. If you don't give ahealthy person poison, why would you do that

to a sick person? All drugs are

Uva Ursi contains a chemical that is changedby the kidneys, as it passes through them, intophenol as in Lysol. This is a urinarydisinfectant and works. Fresh asparagus juice

is an excellent diuretic. Solidagois Golden Rod and is foracute and chronic conditions of the renalsystem, promoting dieresis and excretion ofmatter usually eliminated with the urine. Buccois somewhat stronger than Solidago. HorsetailTea is used in Germany as a diuretic foredema, gout, enuresis, and dysuria andPlantina-Asparagus Tablets (used by

Hippocrates as well as Paracelsus for urinaryconditions, a good diuretic, for gout, skinconditions etc.) are excellent combinationherbal drainage remedies from Marco Pharma,Intl., Specialist in Drainage Remedies, 303-716-1033.

and general liver support from StandardProcess).

Care of the intestinal system, elimination offoods that one is allergic too andreplenishment of the normal bacteria of theintestine is a topic unto itself and will becovered later.

You can also stimulate the skin, which is thefourth largest excretory organ of the body, thekidneys, liver and intestines being the others. While bathing use a Lufa Sponge or roughwash cloth and rub your skin until it gets pink. This gets rid of old skin cells, which are aciddeposits, and stimulates the lymph and glandsof the skin so they excrete more.

    9. Eliminate

Unwanted ToxinsThe best way to "eliminate" toxins from thebody is to refrain from consuming more ofthem or avoid exposure to them. Theseinclude such things as fluoride in toothpasteand the water, mercury from amalgam fillings

in the teeth and exposure to all heavy metals, exposure to pesticides in the food andenvironment and unnecessary intake ofmedicines.

Sweating is an excellent elimination process

obviously. A simple way besides the obviousways is to take a hot bath, as hot as you canstand it, for 'awhile', 15 minutes, a half an

hour. You can put BakingSoda in the bath, a poundis not too much, along with say, a cup or so ofEpsom Salts. These suck acid out of yourbody and supply Magnesium which is

absorbed through the skin. (Epsom Salts areMagnesium sulphate).

Then, get out of the bath and bundle up inclothes, a bath robe, whatever and get underthe covers in bed. Lay there for a half hour orso and you will loose a pound of sweat. It israther amazing and feels extremely good.

    10. Deep BreathingProtein is not the only source of acids in ourbody. As stated protein and drugs, alkaloids,

produce the hard or strongacids, namelysulfuric, nitric andphosphoric acids.

  • 8/14/2019 Www.muliply.com - 3.008 Blog - A New Biology, How We Become Acid

    105/108

There are also the weak acids that areproduced in the body by the burning ofcarbohydrates, sugar, fat and the like.Exercise also produces lactic acid, a weakacid, as does stress.

These weak acids all work in about the sameway. These acids are not eliminated likeprotein, rather they are broken down into water(eliminated by the kidneys) and carbon dioxide(which is breathed out through the lungs).

These soft or weak acids, therefore, do nottake minerals with them as protein does. Nonethe less they are acids and can aggravate analready acid condition.

For this reason deep breathing is a veryimportant part of eliminating the acid load ofthe body. We don't breath enough. Prana

Yoga, becoming one with one's breathing, is ascience of breathing. Take slow, deep breathsas often as you think of it, relax. Of courseaerobic exercise helps here too.

    11. Support thelymph systemThe lymph system is the detoxifying 'organ' of

    the body. The lymph comes

    106/108

    from the fluid that

surrounds the cellsand therefore is thefluid that eliminatesthe toxins and metabolic acids thatthe cells themselves produce.

ReboundingRebounding is an old method. This consiststhese days of bouncing up and down on atrampoline or some such device. Thispromotes the flow of lymph through the body

and therefore helps eliminate unwanted acidsand toxins. Massage also does this as doesthe use of a 'slant board'. You can lay on aboard or whatever that puts your feet higherthan your head. This helps the lymph flow outof the lower parts of the body. Exercises suchas standing on your head do the same thingbut many people cannot do this type of thing.

    12. Increase theoxygenation of the

bodyOxygen burns, acids, toxins and so on andtherefore helps in their elimination. This too isa topic unto itself and will be covered later alsobut things that can help are products such asCo-enzyme Q-10, herbs containing theubiquinones and so on.

    13. Stress ReductionDo this by any means possible. Not to makelight of this, but it surely as another topic untoitself. Personally one night without sleep(severe stress for me), makes me extremelyacid by the next day.
