Roadside Units➢WYDOT is installing 75 roadside units• Hot spot analysis to determine most effective locations
• Almost 50 installs complete
➢Most are located near existing infrastructure to take advantage of poles, power, and communications
➢ Units are licensed by the FCC and require permits
➢Will be used to send TIMs including:• Road conditions
• Road closures
• Construction information
• Truck parking

➢Wyoming Highway Patrol Vehicles• Testing the equipment in one vehicle to ensure there is
no interference with existing equipment
➢ Private fleet vehicles• 12 partner vehicles
• A number of companies signed on; still recruiting
