5 th July 2013 Dear Parents and Carers Our Year 6 children have just returned from their residential trip to Todmorden in Lancashire. They stayed at a Robinwood activity centre and their base for three da ys was a castle. They had a fabulous time and they en joyed every second! The aim of the trip was to become more confident in challenging situations and to overcome their fears, improve their problem solving skills and to develop new skills. The reason for this letter is to ga uge parental interest regarding residential trips we may offer next year. We are currently thinking about offe ring two trips. A trip to France for our Yea r 6 children (our current Year 5’s) and repeating the Robinwood trip for our Year 5 children (current Year 4). We would be gratef ul if you could return the slip below s o that we can start to make arrangements for the trip or trips. The proposed trip to France would take place in June next year (we are unable to give an actual date at this moment in time.) The cost of the trip would be appr oximately £330, this trip would be from Monday to Friday. This price would include transport, accommodation and food. It would also includ e a wide range of activities possibly including a visit to a creperie, orienteering to solve a French puzzle, visits to v arious muse ums and local attra ctions. More information about the company we would be using can be found at  www.euro-sejours.com (click on the tab at the top that says Incoming). If the trip was to go ahead it would be for Year 6 only. The trip to Robinwood in Todmorden would take place May to June (again we are unable to give an actual date). The cost of the trip w ould be approximately £195 for three d ays. This would includ e accommodation an d food. It would also include a wide range of activities including archery, canoeing, crate challenge, and the famous piranha pool. (Transport costs would be met by school.) More information about the compa ny we would be using can be found at www.robinwood.co.uk . We are planning this trip for Year 5 children but if interest for the France trip is low we will offer this trip to the Year 6 c hildren as well. Please can you tick which trip your child would be likely to attend if these trips were to go ahead? Please return the slip by Friday 12 th July.
