INTRODUCTION

We are glad to send you our promoting proposal of the YARE 2015 event.The 5th edition of YARE - Yachting Aftersales and Refi t Experience is organized by NAVIGO TOSCANA, a company based in Viareggio working since 2007 to support the development of the Tuscan nautical district and its components, as shipbuilding, refi t services and nautical tourism, and it is particulary oriented to the innovation development. Starting from 2011, NAVIGO is also the managing authority of PENTA, centre of Tuscany innovation.

YARE 2015 is organized with the collaboration of CarraraFiere, and thanks of the contribution of Toscana Promozione. The international media partner is “The Superyacht Group”, editorial group publishing some of the main magazines of the nautical sector.

NAVIGO TOSCANA mission is off ering services to the enterprises of the nautical sector to increase their competitiveness, from funding projects for innovation, to communication, digitalization, patents, corporate restructuring, national and international promotion.

NAVIGO TOSCANA is made up of 97 enterprises (with the most important Italian shipyards such as Azimut Benetti, Perini Navi, Codecasa, Overmarine, Rossinavi, CN San Lorenzo, Vismara among partners), 3 trade associations (Associazione Industriali della Provincia di Lucca e CNA Lucca, Confartigianato di Lucca) Lucca Chamber of Commerce, the Municipality of Viareggio and the Province of Lucca are parts of NAVIGO. Furthermore NAVIGO is also the main reference point for local stakeholders as banks, consortiums, union associations, service companies.

NAVIGO works in a context characterized by the presence of the main production chain operating in the fi eld of pleasure boats, to create strong and long-term synergies between the services connecting the life cycle of the boat to the local natural, environmental and administrative resources. Viareggio in particular can boast of an yearly production of megayachts (pleasure boats more than 24 mt. Lenght) covering around the 20% of the worldwide market. This success is possible thanks to a local wide network of SME guarantiing an higly qualifi ed and competitive production model. NAVIGO involves in fact a signifi cative presence of specialized companies covering the supply chain, from the planning to the delivery of a boat.

With viareggio keeping its leadership in yachting industry, recently the extension and the development of tuscan nautical industry has reached other areas on Tuscan coast, embracing now 5 provinces (Massa, Lucca, Pisa, Livorno and Grosseto) and creating an “Area Vasta Costiera”.

YARE schedules the opening of Viareggio and other tuscan nautical districts shipyards and workshops in order to support the promotion and enhance the relationships between captains and companies. The event includes:

• The invitation of a wide and representative delegation of megayacht’s captains, mainly foreigners.

• B2C meetings between companies and captains.

• Guided tour of the companies of Viareggio district, and of the other neighboring district(Massa, Pisa, Livorno, La Spezia)

Marina di Carrara, Seatec Exhibition (International Exhibition of Technologies, subcontracting and design for boats, megayachts and ships), from February 4th to 6th.

CarraraFiere reserves a special area hosting the exclusive lounge for Captains and guests, the “YARE Pavillion”. The interested companies can exhibit following the traditional standards of the fair, in agreement to the consolidated ones of Seatec, or they can book an exclusive exhibit corner. The 6 of February will carry out additional B2C meetings between exhibiting Companies and Captains.

Viareggio and Marina di Carrara february 3rd and 4th.

The delegation of 100 captains and yacht managers will attend the scheduled events. The Italian Superyacht Forum is taking place on February 3rd morning, an event aimed at discussing about the future of the sector and to explore the best ways of doing business.

The afternoon programme involves breakout sessions about technical issues shared by enterprises, captains and industry professionals. On february 4th morning B2C meetings between enterprises and captains are planned to be held at YARE Pavillion, inside Seatec exhibition.

YARE programme involves several networking and socialization activiites.

A welcome cocktail will be organized on February 2nd, arrival day of both captains and yacht managers, and a networking dinner is scheduled on Februrary 3rd, special event open to the companies attending the event.

YARE will take place from february 2nd to 6th 2015, in coincidence with Seatec (International Exhibition Technologies, Subcontracting and Design for Boats, Megayachts and Ships) and it will be off ering a variety of special events.

Flags – Participating Captains, YARE 2014The pie chart shows the partition of superyacht, represented by fl ags: approximately the half are Red Ensign (it includes Bermuda, U.K Cayman Islands, Cook Islands, Man Isle), for the 31% Italian fl ag, followed by Malta, U.S.A., Saint Vincent, Greek, Netherlands, Croatia, Madeira, Jersey. Shipyards - Participating Captains, YARE 201450 shipyards, represented by the attending captains. most of the Country origin is:Holland, Italy, U.K., U.S.A., with the best of the shipyards building pleasure boats (Amels, Benetti, Codecasa, CRN, De Vries Van Lent, Feadship, Heesen, ISA, Perini Navi, Rossi Navi, San Lorenzo, ecc.). Among the captains who attended the latest edition, we can remind the one of the charming New Vagabunda, of T.M. Blue One (Valentino’s yacht), of Regina d’Italia (Dolce e Gabbana), of motor-yacht Tribù (Benetton). We can stress the relevant attendance of 7 captains of Dutch made yachts. Among them, the captain of a yacht built by the Van Lent shipyard, owner of the hedge fund of luxury goods LVMH. Also belonging to the Dutch union, the two longest yacht attending the event: one Ocean Co (“Princess Olga”, 86 m.) and one Feadship (“Monkey Business”, 83 m.). The “Stella Maris” captain represents the longest yacht built in the Viareggio’s shipyards.
