Cunda Island

Ayvalık is a district in Balıkesir in the Aegean Region and surrounded by Burhaniye in the northeast, Izmır in the southeast, and the Aegean Sea in the North and West. Alibey Island (Cunda Island) is also within the borders of Ayvalık. There are low hills in the area where Madra mountainside is extending through the southeast of the district and disappear in the seaside. Ayvalık is one of the most popular areas of Balıkesir with 22 islands in di�erent sizes. The port and the landing deck for cargo and passen-ger ships are in the centre of the district. Madra streamline is pouring into the Aegean Sea and it is the most important water source of the district.

The economy of Ayvalık depends mostly on agriculture and tourism. Olive cultivation and related industries are the leading economic activity in the district, which is why most of the area in Ayvalık is covered with olive gardens. Besides, pistachio, tangerine and grapery are also important in the region. Bağyüzü Village is famous for its Kozak grape. In recent years, early vegetable cultivation and Kozak honeydew honey production have gained intensity in the district.

Fishery and �sh restaurants are also other important source of income in Ayvalık.For its natural beauty and touristic attractions, tours are organized to Ayvalık in summer time. Şeytan Sofrası (The Devil’s Dining Table), Alibey Island and Sarımsaklı Beach are the leading touristic attractions in Ayvalık. Sarımsaklı Beach is 7km in length and 100m in width and it’s only 8km away from the centre. Ayvalık Police Guesthouse is founded on Sarımsaklı Beach and the Devil’s Dining Table is up on the hill covered with pine trees.

yvalık Polis Moral Eğitim Merkezi Müdürlüğü Balıkesir ili Ayvalık ilçesi Küçükköy Beldesi Sarımsaklı mevkiinde Kahramanlar Mahallesi Barbaros Caddesinde 14.730 m² alan üzerine kurulu, Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü Sosyal Hizmetler Daire Başkanlığına bağlı Sosyal bir kurumdur.

Tesisimiz; başta şehit aileleri, gazilerimiz, vazife malulleri ile tüm teşkilat mensuplarımızın, onların eş ve çocukları ile birlikte bir yılın getirdiği yorgun-luk ve stresin atılması, sosyal ve kültürel ilişkilerin geliştirilmesi, moral ve motivasyon kazandırılması amacına yönelik hizmet vermektedir.

Tesisimiz 4 bloktan oluşmaktadır. 3 blokta 28 duble, 76 normal oda olmak üzere toplam 104 oda ile otel hizmeti verilmekte olup, bir blok ise yönetim ve hizmet binası olarak kullanılmaktadır. Tesisimizde 120 araçlık ücretsiz oto park bulunmaktadır. Yaz sezonlarında 10’ ar günlük dönemler halinde kamp hizmeti verilmektedir.

A Ayvalık Police Guesthouse is situated in Sarımsaklı Beach in Ayvalık on 14,730km² area and the operational responsibility of the facility is under the Social Services Department of the Turkish National Police.

Ayvalık Police Guesthouse is established with the purpose of serving the Turkish National Police sta� and their families, particularly the families of the deceased police o�cers and the martyrs to provide them with an opportunity to relax and build social and cultural relations.

Ayvalık Police Guesthouse is comprised of 4 blocks, 3 of which has 104 rooms with 368 people capacity in 28 superior and 76 standard rooms. The other 1 block is used for the administrative a�airs and guest services. In the facility there is an open parking lot of 120 car capacity. In summer time Turkish National Police sta� has the opportunity to have their vacation in Ayvalık Police Guesthouse for 7 days.

Turkish National Police sta� needs to apply for vacation at the Police Guesthouse through fax or e-mail after the announcement of the dates and price rates by the Social Services Depart-ment of Turkish National Police. All applications are evaluated by the Department and the reservation details are sent via e-mail or SMS to the applicants.

In Ayvalık Police Guesthouse, there is a MultipurposeHall of 100 people capacity, an Upper Hall with 150 peoplecapacity, a Middle Floor Hall with 200 people capacity and aGround Floor Hall with 400 people capacity. Di�erent events suchas meetings, celebrations, weddings and entertainmentorganizations can be organized in these halls. Turkish NationalPolice departments can also use these halls for seminars,meetings and trainings time to time except the vacation season.

Ayvalık Police Guesthouse is comprised of 4 blocks. In A, B and C blocks guest rooms are located, while 1 block is allocated for the guest service and admin-istrative purposes. There are 28 superior rooms (60m²), 76 standard rooms (30m²), and the total number of the rooms is 104 with 368 people capacity. Turkish National Police sta� is supposed to present their police ID cards during the check-in procedures.

In the guest rooms there is a TV, a minibar, the air conditioning, a bathroom and a balcony with a table and chairs. Standard rooms have 3 single beds, while superior rooms have 1 double bed and a sofa set in one part, a double bed or tree single beds in the other. All rooms are furnished in modern and comfortable style, and most of them have a sea view.

Ayvalık is a district in Balıkesir which is in the northwest part of the Aegean Region. It is surrounded by Bergama in the southeast, Dikili in the south, Edremit Gulf, and Burhaniye in the northeast. It is a coastal town in the western part of Balıkesir and very close to the Lesvos, one of the Greek Islands.

If you are coming by bus, get o� at Sarımsaklı bus station and take a taxi or Sarımsaklı Birlik minibus to the Ayvalık Police Guesthouse, which is 1,5km away and the third bus stop. If you get o� at Ayvalık bus station, you can take Sarımsaklı Birlik buses to the Ayvalık Police Guesthouse which is 11km away.

If you are �ying to Edremit Gulf Airport, �rst take Körfez Birlik minibuses to Ayvalık bus station and then take the Sarımsaklı Birlik bus to the Police Guesthouse. If you are �ying to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, you can take Sebat or Anadolu Turizm buses directly to Sarımsaklı.

If you are coming by train to Balikesir train station, �rst you need to take the public buses in front of the train station to get to the Balıkesir bus station, and then you need to take Balıkesir Seyahat or Balıkesir Uludağ Seyahat buses to the Ayvalık bus station. You will arrive at the Police Guesthouse from Ayvalık bus station by taking the Sarımsaklı Birlik buses.
