SUPERMUM'S Top pIt’s never too early to start saving. Buy your

kids a piggy bank that they can decorate by

themselves in any theme they like. Once they

have fi lled the bank, you can open up their

very own bank account or join the credit

union and keep saving any spare pennies.

A good lesson to learn from an early age.

KIDzCrackersMy Godson, Arran is a wee cheeky chappie who always makes everyone laugh. The other day he came running into my house shouting excitedly “Guess what Auntie Kate, I got an award at school today!” Happily, I cheered “Fantastic news, Arran. What was your award for?” To which he proudly replied “For going a whole week without getting a verbal warning from the Teacher!”

My kids use them constantly, swimming, library, cinema o ers, activity clubs, Saturday art club, concessions at various events across the city. Brilliant cards. Thank you Glasgow Kidz Card, you do a smashing job! Keep

up the great work.Claire Barr

WEE STAR of the SeasonMy 9 year old daughter Leah McKay is my wee cracker. I have been really unwell for a few months and during this time my husband and I separated. Leah has been absolutely amazing in coping with all this and has been a massive help. I can’t do too much without being in pain so Leah has been helping with the housework and making breakfast for her younger siblings, Gracie (5) and Oscar (4). She never moans and always looks for more chores to lessen the

load for me. I recently got my diagnosis from hospital of having a pancreatic tumour and a few days later I became really ill. Leah managed to phone her Gran to let her know I was being really sick and was in pain on the bathroom fl oor. She then alerted an ambulance for me and I was taken to hospital. She is such a beautiful, kind, caring little girl and I think it deserves to be recognised. Nicola McKay
