Kids Cornermarbled easter eggsThis is a fun and creative Easter tradition that can be enjoyed by the whole family!

What you’ll needEggs (however many you want to decorate)For each different colour you will need:3 cups of warm water2 tablespoons vinegar10 drops of food colouring1 tablespoon oil

How to make them1. Hard boil your eggs. In shallow bowls, mix

together three cups of warm water, two tablespoons of vinegar and ten drops of food colouring. Whisk the ingredients together well.

2. Submerge your eggs and leave them in the mixture until they reach the desired colour. It is better to have a lighter colour as the base colour so the second layer of colour will take well on your eggs. Dry your eggs with paper towel.

3. Repeat the process with the rest of your eggs. Allow them to dry.4. To the dye that you have already prepared, add one tablespoon of olive oil, then run a fork

through the oil to create the solution to roll your eggs. As the oil swirls, roll your egg once through a contrasting colour. Blot gently with paper towel. If you like you can repeat this process to add a third colour to your eggs.

Tips/SuggestionsAsk an adult to help you with this activity (especially to hard boil the eggs).Try decorating your eggs in other ways – stickers, ribbons, beads, glitter, feathers, etc.Try turning your marbled Easter eggs into fun characters such as – bunnies, ducks, elephants, pigs or your favourite cartoon character.
