Enrichment4-H Tech Wizards (Grades 5-8)#2200FREE 4-H programming at Fridley Community Center. Join our 4-H club, Tech Wizards! This group will work with technology and mentors to ex-plore STEM activities! We provide the equipment. You provide the ideas and creative energy.

Tech Wizards is a year-long program that connects students with technol-ogy and mentors to provide young people with social, emotional and STEM skills. 4-H prepares youth to learn and lead in their school, college, communities and careers. According to a national study by Tufts University, 4-H’ers have better grades, are more engaged with school, are more likely to see themselves going to college, and are less likely to have risky behaviors.

Meets in Room 107 of the Fridley Community Center Mondays June 12th and 19, July 10th and 17th, and August 7th and 21st, 4:00 - 6:00 PM. Program is FREE to all youth in grades 5-8. Students will be provided a snack. No transportation provided.

Play-ers will be grouped according to grade, skill level and age. The format will be warm-up, fast footwork, speed, one on one skills and competitive games, small group activities (passing receiv-ing possession) and small sided games. Teams will have three practice per week from April 22nd through July 30th, 2017. There is no clinic July 1, 2, and July 5. Soccer Recreational Kickabout (Grades 2-4)#2710Fridley Soccer is pleased to offer an indoor Recreational Program for 2nd - 4th grade players this spring and sum-mer. The program features 30 minutes of skills training with 30 minutes of small sided games. The training will be held on Saturday and Sunday morn-ings at the Fridley Middle School East Soccer Field. Compared to club prices, this program is a bargain. Anthony Branitski is a club professional instructor as well as the Fridley Varsity Boys’ Tennis Coach. He will instruct students in all aspects of tennis from stroke improvement, agility and fitness to tennis match strategy. This camp will benefit both the beginner and accomplished tennis player. Bring a racket if you have one, if not we can supply one for use. Each camp participant will also receive a punch pass good for (5) FREE Fridley Tiger sporting events.
