26 June Dorothy Bramlage Public Library: Meditation & You 7pm-9pm 238 W. 8th Street Junction City- While meditation comes in a

variety of different forms, they all involve one thing, a heightened sense of awareness. Attend this monthly class and discover engaging

meditation exercises that can be used to increase this sense of awareness and strengthen your connection to body, mind,

and spirit. Instructor: Palma Holden has been actively part of meditation groups since 1998 and has been leading meditation sessions for

the last five years. She offers intuitive consulting and guidance by phone and in Manhattan. $5 suggested donation. 27 June Mid Summers Night Dream: Abilene Kansas starting at 4pm-There is sure to be a flurry of activity at this third annual

community-wide event. The Abilene Downtown Association arranges this community wide event in historic downtown Abilene. Food,

music, prizes and a variety of activities for all ages. A Fairy Princess and Elf contest for children will add to the excitement. Also, the City

band will have an evening concert. For more information please see attached flyer below.

28 June Ft Riley Female Network: 3pm at the Warrior Zone, What is the Ft Riley Female Network? Provides all female Soldiers and

28 June Military Spouse Scholarship Home Depot Deadline: Military Spouses: Are you looking to further your education? We're

partnering with The Home Depot to give away a $10,000 scholarship to a military spouse! To enter, you have to write an essay (750-

1250 words) answering the question: "How would earning a college degree positively impact your life?"

Army Arts and Crafts Contest is an annual, juried competition of artwork for novice and accomplished artists. Entry submissions to the

Region and Department of Army (DA) level will be digital jpg images of the work submitted in a web based program at:

https://apps.imcom.army.mil/apptracmain (Note: All patrons must have an AKO account and password in order to access the site).

Vacation Bible School registration is now open on post. VBS will be from 9 a.m. to noon June 24 to 28 for children ages 5 to 10. For more

GREAT NEWS!! The Command Spouse Training Seminar is BACK! The goal is to hold this training quarterly and we are

being asked to encourage our Company Commander and 1SG spouses to attend. The next one is going to be 11 July.

Childcare is available and the RSVP date for that is COB 28 June to Becky Willis. Time and location for the training is ACS Building at

7264 Normandy from 0900-1600.

Command Leadership Spouse Seminar is designed to enhance the skills needed for the leadership roles these spouses frequently hold in the

FRG. Lessons are taught by senior leadership spouses and community leaders.

Volunteers needed for Back to School Fashion Show: AAFES is in need of volunteers for a Back to School Fashion Show. If you are

ASYMCA Family Camps in Junction City -ASYMCA has Family Camps available for 8 families for 8 weekends at the Rock Springs 4-H

Center 1168 K-157 HWY Junction City, KS 66441. This is completely free to those families that qualify for the program ( Please contact

Nancy to verify if your family qualifies, priority to Wounded* Families). The only thing the families have to provided is to bring their

own bedding (linens, sleeping bag, blanket , pillow) towels, and personal toiletries. If children are eight and older they will be able to

attend horse trail rides and need to bring appropriate closed toed shoes. Rock springs staff will lead all activities.

Arrival time is after 1600 on the first day and departures 13:00 on the last day. All meals and activities are included I would suggest

taking snacks with you to have them for yourself and the kids in between meal times.

FROG Youth Trap & Skeet Camp 2013 Mission

Fort Riley Outdoorsmen Group will conduct its 2013 Youth Trap & Skeet Camp in six small-group sessions in concert with the civilian employee furlough schedule.
