1. Select the page corresponding to your entry location.

2. Locate your destination exit in the left-hand column of the grid.

3. Scan right along the row to find your class of vehicle. Your Toll Rate will be within the box that corresponds to your Vehicle Class.

4. When no toll is displayed, then your selected exit is not valid from that location and/or your payment option is not available.

When using the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Turnpike Extensions, your toll may be based on number of axles, vehicle weight, or both. See the guide below for Vehicle Class information.

Height: 13 feet 6 inches

Width: Over 10 feet to a maximum of 11 feet 6 inches

Bumper Overhang: Over 5 feet front or over 15 feet rear

EXCEPTIONS: Maximum width between (115) Wyoming Valley Ramp and (131) Clarks Summit Ramp (Northeastern Extension) is 14 feet. The maximum height and width on Turnpike 576, 43, 66 and I-376 is 14 feet.

NOTE: Vehicles between 8 feet 6 inches and 10 feet wide do not require a permit, but must follow time-of-day travel restrictions. Payment for Class 9 over dimensional loads can be made by com check, cash, or most major credit cards. E-Z Pass is not accepted. You must stop at the entering interchange to pick up a Class 9 ticket and permit (Excludes Cashless Tolling and PA Turnpike TOLL BY PLATE locations).

TIME of DAY TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS: From Memorial Day to Labor Day, all over-dimensional movements must travel between sunrise and sunset Monday to Thursday, and between sunrise and noon on Friday.

From Labor Day to Memorial Day, all over-dimensional movements must travel between sunrise and sunset Monday to Friday, and between sun-rise and noon on Saturday.

ESCORT VEHICLE is REQUIRED in ADDITION to the PERMIT:

• Total vehicle length of 90-160 feet requires a company escort. Total vehicle length of over 160 feet requires a company and PSP escort.

• Total vehicle width is over 11 feet

• Total vehicle width over 11 feet 6 inches between (115) Wyoming Valley Ramp and (131) Clarks Summit Ramp

• Total vehicle width over 11 feet 6 inches on Turnpike 576, 43, 66 and I-376

• Bumper overhang of 5 feet front or 15 feet rear

• Or at the discretion of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission due to safety concerns

PA Turnpike TOLL BY PLATE is only available at cashless tolling points on the PA Turnpike. The list of ac�ve cashless tolling points can be found on our website, www.nocashzone.com.

High-speed cameras mounted overhead on the tolling facility capture license plate images as vehicles pass through at posted speed. The registered owner of the vehicle receives an invoice for all trips made through the tolling point. Tolls can conveniently be paid online, by phone and through the mail.

How Does it Work and Where Can I Use It?

An example of the PA Turnpike TOLL BY PLATE invoice is shown to the right. Customers can pay the invoice over the phone or on the PA Turnpike TOLL BY PLATE website with a credit card. Customers can also pay by check through the mail. For those customers who prefer to pay with cash, they will need to drive to the Customer Service Center.

Customers with rental vehicles should check with the rental company about their policy with regards to travel on toll roads. Each rental company may have a unique process for handling tolls or viola�ons incurred with a rental vehicle. Please see the Rental Vehicles page at h�ps://www.paturnpike.com/toll/rental.aspx.

Important Payment Terms and Informa�on

PA Turnpike TOLL BY PLATECASHLESS TOLLING

PA Turnpike TOLL BY PLATE is the license plate tolling system introduced in 2016 for cashless tolling points. Tradi�onal cash customers traveling through a cashless tolling point will receive a PA Turnpike TOLL BY PLATE invoice. E-ZPass customers will be billed as usual.
