Babcock prides itself on providing employers with bespoke training solutions that are unique and specifi c to your business.We provide a ‘hands on’, competency based approach to learning which equips your apprentices with the knowledge and more importantly, the Skills to grow into John Deere technical experts. Your apprentice will develop skills & profi ciency in a wide range of technical areas, from routine maintenance & servicing to complex component overhauls utilising brand specifi c John Deere machinery & equipment.

Funding CriteriaWork a minimum of 16 hours per week• Not in full time education• Must be a European citizen•

Funding is available for the majority of cases.

Programme Specifi cs:The John Deere Advanced Apprentice Programme is operated within the new state of the art John Deere apprentice training academy in Ruddington, Nottingham.The John Deere agricultural engineering apprenticeship programme format is:

8 Weeks of training per year (over 3 years)• City & Guilds Level 2 diploma progressing to • level 3Functional Skills level 1 and 2 certifi cated • Land based technician accreditation• Specifi c John Deere technical training included • in third year of apprenticeship programme

On the completion of the two year apprenticeship programme your apprentice will achieve:

Level 2 progressing to level 3 diploma • in work-based land-based Engineering Operations (Agricultural) competence based element (Agricultural)Level 2 progressing to level 3 diploma • in work-based land-based Engineering Operations (Agricultural) knowledge based element (Agricultural)Functional skills level 1 progressing to level 2 • in Maths, English and ITEmergency fi rst aid• Employment rights and responsibilities•
