This gave me a clear cut idea of a better optical zoom 8x, not available in any other sony model. Though you can get higher optical zoom in canon sx150 with 10x zoom but there you will cry for the 14mp. Here you will get a nice touch of sony pic processing & thus the quality is extremely good.

Now comes the question why Sony W730 & not W710, with almost the same features in a price less than Rs.2000 ??

The answer is, the quality of the picture, which is not mentioned or will never be mentioned in any of the websites. Moreover the design & of his model is extremely cool than the W710. You will feel it when you will be able to keep both the models side by side, or take both of them in your hands. The Sony W710 had a look that says that- " I am a cheaper model than W730 "

Now the features that won W730 over W710, is the Clarity of the pic which I have already mentioned before. Secondly is that you will get video & image format of better options than that model, thirdly & most important is the LENS.

THE Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 8 LENS, which is said to be the one of the BEST quality lens used in cameras. SLR cameras even have this type of lens. This is a huge leap, & the most better reason to give out Rs. 2000 extra.

The battery that will be offered to you is of good quality that will suffice approx 100mins or 200 images of still pictures, video shooting of 40mins (it is less as its quality is HD-superb actually), & if you only view pictures it will be there for you for 3hours, & you can view 3800 images. All the battery time are taken until they reach a low battery signal. And it is advisable to switch of your camera the moment you reach low bat sig.

Charging of the batteries will take 110 mins or 2hours.

So people who have a budget of Rs. 8000/- this camera is a good grab! Even Nikon & Canon is okay, but you know this is Sony so you will feel nice/safe to just depend on its product.
