Page 1: AOL Recommendation Letter

October 2015 To Whom It May Concern, It is my great pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Miss Angela Wang. I managedAngela during her internship with AOL over the summer of 2015, and I can state with confidence that she is a motivated and responsible person with a high degree of integrity. As such, I expect that she will be a very positive addition to your organization.

Overall, I was very impressed with Angela. She is a natural leader who is ambitious, personable, curious, driven and an all around lovely person to be around. Everyone on the team highly valued her, as well as her fellow interns. From day one, she jumped in and was able to manage meetings and coordinate the team with minimal instruction. While working as the Project Management intern, Angela was expected to help manage the design team projects, assist in identifying deliverables, review work for accuracy and check against requirements. She exceeded my expectations in performing the duties that were expected of her. She also went above and beyond in her role by assisting in organizing teams from multiple disciplines to participate in bug hunts for a new application. She worked closely with our lead QA engineer to identify steps to reproduce bugs and logged defects accordingly. Additionally, she created, maintained and managed a deliverable tracker that outlined all of the Marketing items that the design team needed to produce to support the product launch. She worked directly with the art directors and marketing team to see that all of the deliverables were completed and to spec. Our design group had the opportunity to hire four interns, from different disciplines, and presented them with a project to complete over the summer, in addition to their day-to-day duties. The project was to come up with a new product idea and to create a business plan for that product. Angela and team went above and beyond the ask and not only created a fully phased business and marketing plan, but they also had a working prototype that was used to demonstrate the idea to the VP of our organization. Angela was the natural leader of the group, organizing user testing and conducting market research, as well as managing the overall schedule of the project. She showed excellent leadership skills and poise during the presentation to the executive team in the Membership organization. She is an articulate and dynamic speaker and had everyone engaged for the duration of the presentation. Angela volunteered to prepare a social media strategy that would support our new product launch. The strategy included rationale as to why social was the marketing channel that our audience would most likely be engaged in. She also conducted a competitive analysis that included, not only an accurate audit of the competitor’s products social presence in the current market, but also outlined specific initiatives that were leveraged at the time of product launch. This plan was presented to the lead marketer for the product and has since been leveraged to support current marketing efforts.

I hope you will consider Angela for any position for which she qualifies. I know she will be an asset to any organization. I can be reached at (347) 387 – 7604 or at [email protected] if you require additional information. Sincerely, Amanda Cajano Lead Producer, Membership AOL, Inc.
