Nathan Hale was caught as a spy. The penalty for saying is to be hanged. Nathan Hale was brave and faced the British. He was a 21 year old school teacher. He died trying to deliver secret British attack plans to General Washington. We are proud of the bravery of Nathan Hale. Before he was killed, he delivered these famous lines: “I only regret that I have but one life to loose for my country.”
