VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies Why study Level 3 Complementary Therapies? This qualification is a Technical Qualification based on the National Occupational Standards for the complementary therapist and is recognised by the UK's largest complementary therapy trade body/professional association, The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and also the UK's second largest association representing complementary therapists; the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a Complementary Therapist. When you complete your qualification you are eligible to register with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) which is the government-backed voluntary regulator for the sector. CNHC registration is compulsory for all Complementary Therapists who work in the NHS. Entry Requirements:

4 GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 4, which include English Language and/or mathematics or English/Mathematics Functional skills at Level 2

And a Level 2 qualification in a vocationally related course with an average grade of a Merit

Those aged over 19 may be considered subject to interview Course Content: You will cover six units which are made up of practical and theory sessions including:

Aromatherapy Body Massage Reflexology

Teaching & Learning/Delivery: Work will be set to practice your skills and prove your competence, working in a realistic working environment. Students carry out case studies completing a portfolio of work cross-referenced to meet criteria along with the completion of unit end tests.

Kit & Uniform: You will be required to wear a uniform for all practical lessons and an aromatherapy kit is essential for successful completion of this course. These costs will be discussed at interview. Financial Support You may be able to get help to pay for Kit & Uniform, Childcare, Trips & Visits and Lunches. This is based on your household income and certain other eligibility criteria.
