What I Did

• At Blazer Build, a few of my team members and I were split up into groups.

• I nailed the structure of the house together with boards that were placed on the outside. Basically, I put up the walls that cover the house.

• I also nailed on the insulation onto every wall of the house.

• The last project I helped with was nailing the roof to the side of the house.

What I got out of Service Learning

• By participating in the Blazer build for Habitat for Humanity I learned how to generally put a house together.

• Also, it was a great experience to volunteer and do something really neat for someone else. It was great spending time with my team as well.

• I learned that I like doing things for people who are in need. It also made me realize how fortunate I am.

• Overall, I enjoyed my service and it is my way of giving back to the community.
