The Church is ONE
The Church is One because all true members are one in faith, one in sacraments, one in sacrifice and are united under one visible head.
(2 Peter 1:1)
The Church is HOLY
The Church is Holy because its founder and head is holy. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to teach and strengthen us in holiness. The Church invites all humankind to a holy life.
(John 6:69)
The Church is CATHOLIC
The Church is Catholic (universal) because it exists in all ages, teaches all nations, and has the source of all truth.
(Mt. 28:16-20)
The Church is APOSTOLIC
The Church is Apostolic because it rises on the foundation of the Apostles, with Jesus as the head. The Church is meant to continue the mission of Jesus in the world.
