The Need for Compassion

• Chichester Foodbank is a local Christian charity which started in September 2012.

• The project aims to tackle poverty by providing 3 day emergency parcels for families and individuals who do not have enough money to buy food.

• People are given a red voucher which they exchanged at the Foodbank centre for an emergency 3 day food parcel.

• While they sit down to have a cup of tea and a chat………

• someone else makes up the food parcels in the stock room.

• Since we have been open we have fed:• 2630 people. (2116 13/14)• 1612 adults• 1018 children
