We are at the point o a major transition in this nation. Not only will the new

president aect today’s economy and oreign policy, bt the decisions made by or

next leader will impact generations.

One o the critical roles o the incoming president will be to make appointments

to the Spreme Cort. We have the potential o reversing Roe vs. Wade and the

crelty o abortion i or next president will appoint jstices who will ight or lie.

Ater all o these years o trying to make that change, believing and praying that the

slaghter o the innocent wold stop, it is within or grasp!

The next leader o or nation will also impact or amilies. We mst elect

someone who will stand p against the homosexal agenda and acceptance o gay

marriage. Some potential leaders have already made it clear that they approve o

legislation to redeine marriage to inclde same-sex nion.

This election is critical. I’m not talking

about voting for a party, but for a candidate

whose convictions line up most with the Word

of God. A candidate who will ight or the core

isses o lie and amily.

We don’t want someone who jst ollows the

wind o poplar cltre, bt someone who will

hold to the great ondations o this nation. What

does the Bible say abot the choices they make

and the vales they hold to? We need to cry ot

or God to give s a righteos leader! I know He

is able to do that i we pray and believe together.

Yo have a responsibility to vote or the candidate

who most relects Godly character.

In the book o 1 Kings, the people o Israel

also aced a leadership problem. David was on

his deathbed; generation had passed away and

there were no Godly leaders giding the people.

“Then Adonijah the son o Haggith exalted

himsel, saying, ‘I will be king’” (1 Kings 1:5, NKJV).

Bt according to Scriptre, the kingdom had

already been promised to Solomon. Adonijah,

who was David’s orth son, attempted to bypass

the Lord’s will and David’s choice by sacriic-

ing and celebrating. He even got a priest and a

general on his side. Bt Bathsheba, Solomon’s

mother, went in to tell King David abot it.

“Then she said to him, ‘My lord, yo swore by

the Lord yor God to yor maidservant, saying,

‘Assredly Solomon yor son shall reign ater me,

and he shall sit on my throne’” (1 Kings 1:17, NKJV).

So David stopped Adonijah’s plans by naming

Solomon king.

Consider Psalm 75:6 -7, “For exaltation comes

neither rom the east Nor the west nor rom the

soth. Bt God is the Jdge: He pts down one,

And exalts another” (NKJV).

There are lessons o leadership ond in

these passages that can apply to s today. I’m

not jst talking abot the presidential race; I’m

talking abot the inlence o yor personal lie

in the lives o those arond yo. Godly leadership

is critical in every area o or lives . . . and or

or tre.

A new GenerAtion is reAdy to Go There’s always a “new generation” that’s

coming p . . . that God is raising p . . . that is

emerging to take the place o pre-eminence.

Every generation has a dierent look and

sond. Every generation has a belie system.

Most importantly, every generation has a

“divine destiny.”

Today, a new generation is emerging and

shaping what the tre will look like. I believe

right now the next generation o God’s people

are already in place. Samel was already in the

temple. David was already in Sal’s hose.

David said, “One generation shall praise Yor

works to another, And shall declare Yor mighty

acts” (Psalm 145:4, NKJV). Every generation has a

race to rn. Then, they’ll hand the baton o praise,

worship and prpose on to the next generation.

When one generation is coming to an end, a

new generation goes throgh a time o strggle

to take its place. That is the strggle God’s people

aced in the early chapters o 1 Kings.

Promotion comes From the Lord Here’s the key to inding and knowing

God’s promotion: Promotion comes w hen yo’re

doing what yo’re spposed to do! Remember

that Elisha was plowing in a ield when his

promotion came . . . David was watching sheep

when his promotion came . . . Moses was watching

his ather-in-laws lock when his promotion came

“. . . Samel was serving in Eli’s hose when

his promotion came.”

We’re not supposed to be “promo-

tion seekers.” We’re supposed to be “God

seekers”. Ot o or relationship with God

comes promotion. I yo hmble yorsel beore

the mighty hand o God, He will promote yo in

de season. There is no need to brag on yorsel.

God resists the prod!

The enemy may try to intimidate yo and

psh a sbstitte into seizing the throne o yor

destiny. Yo may almost lose heart. Bt hold onto

the promise God has given yo. God makes the

choice, not men.

Nebchadnezzar pt it this way, “…That the

Most High rles in the kingdom o men, Gives it

to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest o

men” (Daniel 4:17, NKJV).

the enemies oF God’s PLAn David nderstood that i Solomon’s throne

was going to be established, Solomon’s enemies

had to be destroyed. Today, are we making it

harder or the next generation by not dealing with

or spirital enemies? What abot generational

crses o addiction, adltery, immorality and

inancial ignorance?

We are commanded to pass on a spirital

inheritance to or children. We don’t want to pass

on the crses, bt the blessings! To do that, we

mst take on the enemy who is trying to destroy

that inheritance and deeat him.

Our forefathers passed on the blessings

of freedom, faith and liberty as an inheritance

for America . . . and so must we.

No matter how the election goes this all, we know

that God’s Word will not retrn void. I want to

challenge yo today to stand with me on

that Word throgh prayer and asting or or

nation. Pray that God will move pon the leader-

ship o this nation, preserve or amilies and or

reedom, and eqip the next generation to rn

their race with victory.

Abraham Lincoln is reported to have

said, “The philosophy o the classroom in one

generation is the philosophy o government in

the next.”

Barna writes in his book, Revolutionary

Parenting: “The acts have been indisptablyclear: in assessing the impact o chrches,

schools, and parents, it i s the latter that have the

most dramatic personal inlence on a child.”

What can yo do to combat evil inlences

in yor child’s lie? Beore Ezra led the reed

remnant o Israel back to Jersalem, he called

or a holy ast, seeking God to show “the right

way or s and or little ones” (Ezra 8:21, NKJV).

Ater mch prayer and asting, they stepped ot,

boldly trsting God or their sae passage.

We too mst hmbly seek God and boldly

take action or or “little ones” and or or tre.

WE MuST . . .

FAst. Incorporate asting into yor lie on a

reglar basis. Yor sacriice will yield a harvest

o blessings and help break the generational

crses gripping yor amily.

PrAy. Prayer is one o the most powerl

spirital weapon we have on this earth. I want

to rge yo to pray daily or yor children,

yor grandchildren, yor amily and the next

generation o leaders in this nation.

Act. As a parent, grandparent, ant, ncle

or Snday School teacher, yo have inlence

over God’s children. Take yor role seriosly

and be constantly aware o the little eyes and

ears who are observing yor lie. Take the time

to teach, gide and lead by example.

Please begin today to pray, ast and

seek God or the leaders o this nation. Seek

Him abot how to prepare or tre leaders

throgh training and by Godly example. As yo

partner with this ministry, yo can help impact

tomorrow’s generation by helping to spread

the Word into every hosehold o this nation and

beyond throgh the KINGDOM CONNECTION

America’s next generation is being attacked spiritually like

never before. Pop culture surrounds them with immorality, violence

and godlessness through music, movies, clothes . . . even

classroom curriculum.

Christian researcher George Barna states that the recent

massacre at Virginia Tech shold alert parents to take a hard look

at how a cltre that glamorizes sex and violence is impacting

yong adlts. In an pdate abot the Virginia Tech massacre,

Barna noted that only abot two percent o today’s teens possess a

Biblical worldview that acknowledges the existence o God, Satan

and sin, the availability o orgiveness and grace throgh Jess

Christ, and the existence o absolte moral principles provided in

the Bible.I am convinced that the ight or or children mst be won

by the age o 13. How parents inlence their children prior to the

teen years is absoltely critical to the kingdom o God on earth.

Tragically, many parents are not prepared or the ight or their

children’s tre. Parenting is both a privilege and a responsibility

ordained by God. It is a day-by-day, minte-by-minte eort. Too

oten, parents who are overwhelmed by work or worries leave it to

others to shape their child’s lie.

in him the gits and talents he wold need to

lead God’s people ot o bondage.

Let’s take a closer look at the D.N.A o a

leader throgh Moses’ example.

d : divine disConTenTMenT

Jst beore God began positioning

Moses on a higher level or the incredible

prpose o his lie, Moses experienced a divine

discontentment.

Moses shold have been content . . . he was

living in a palace. He had servants, riches and

every lxry yo cold imagine. Yet, something

in him began to eel dissatisaction. He wasdiscontented. And when Moses saw an Egyptian

beating a Hebrew, his divine discontentment

was ignited! He said to himsel, “Somebody

oght to do something abot that.” When yo

start saying that to yorsel . . . look ot!

God cased Moses to notice and ocs on

the problem. None o his other bddies paid

attention, bt Moses was drawn to the problem.

He said, “I’ve got to do something.” The Bible

says Moses looked this way and that way beore

he killed the Egyptian. Bt he shold have

looked p or the answer to his dilemma. He made

a mistake, bt at least he tried something.

God is looking or someone who will try

something. The miracle started when Moses

tried. And God sed Moses’ big ailre to make

Moses more dependent on Him.

Is there an injstice, a challenge that yo cannot

get o yor mind? Maybe there is an isse that

stirs yor sol and boils yor blood. Get ready.

God is instilling in yo divine discontentment.

n : naTional leadership

When God is developing yo into a leader,

He will expose yo to national leadership. God

plcked Moses ot o a little Hebrew village and

placed him in the presence o Pharaoh. It was

in the palace o Egypt that Moses learned to

dream and think big.

God needs people who will stretch their

small-time mentality and dream like a leader.

God is p to something in yor lie and not eventhe sky is a limit to it!

Here’s some advice. I yo want to catch

hold o a big vision, get in the presence o a

visionary. Learn rom people o inlence and

wisdom. Begin dreaming big and believing in

yorsel.

The great King David began his jorney to

leadership as a small shepherd boy. Beore God

released him or His divine prpose, God placed

him in the palace with the national leader, King

Sal. When God wants to stretch yo, He may

pt yo in a place that tests yor abilities, skills

and plans. Jst go with it. God is abot to break

yo ot into big thoghts. He wants yo to think

on a level that’s grander than the one yo’ve

been thinking. Think Big!

God has a perect prpose and a divine plan or yor lie. Beore yo were ever born, God

established yor destiny. He created yo or an assignment that only yo can lill. Bt beoreGod can se yo or His glory, there is a process yo mst go throgh.

Throgh sitations and circmstances, God ashions and orms yo or His prpose. Every

step o the way yo are being eqipped and empowered or yor destiny. God is instilling in yo

the D.N.A. or leadership.

Maybe yo’re experiencing the pressre o the Master’s hand at work in yor lie today. I so,

that is when God is abot to se yo or His glory! He’s developing the D.N.A. o a leader in yo.

We see this process at work in the lie o Moses.

When God called to Moses rom the brning bsh in E xods chapter 3, Moses asked God,

“…Who am I that I shold go to Pharaoh, and that I shold bring the children o Israel ot

o Egypt?” (Exods 3:11, NKJV)

God replied, “I will certainly be with yo” (Exods 3:12, NKJV). Bt what Moses didn’t know

Any time God wants to do something in yor lie, He will

not only pt yo in the presence o leaders, bt He will also

give yo a period o alienation rom distracting inlences.

Moses was a Hebrew, bt God drew him ot o the comort

and amiliarity o His people. God placed him in a palace . . .

a place where he jst didn’t it in. God sent him into the desert

in exile.

I God is going to develop yo into a great leader,

He will pt yo throgh the alienation o leadership. He’ll

take yo ot o yor environment. He’ll pt yo in a place

o discomort. Maybe yo eel dierent? Do yo eel plled

apart rom everyone else? I so, yo may be in that season o

lie right now. That’s a good thing.

When God sends yo into alienation, His voice is the

only one yo hear…He is the only one yo can really talk to.That’s when yo reach yor breakthrogh. That’s when yo

are ashioned with the D.N.A. o a leader!

One o the prposes o alienation is to get yo to the

place o development where yo don’t need the applase

o men. I yo think yo need otside approval, yo’ll be p

and down like a roller coaster. I yo’re going to be who God

has called yo to be, yo cannot gage yor sel-esteem by

the appraisal o men. Yo’ve got to know who yo are and

what God has called yo to do. Forget abot what people

think. Cry ot to Him today to transorm and eqip yo or His

prposes with the D.N.A. o a leader.

When Moses got his D.N.A., he was developed into the

leader God called him to be. Moses lilled God’s prpose

or his lie and led God’s people ot o 400 years o slavery.

“Bt as or yo, yo meant evil against me; bt God

meant it or good, in order to bring it abot as it is this day, to

save many people alive” (Genesis 50:20, NKJV).

Maybe yo are experiencing pain in yor lie today. Yo

can go throgh a storm, bt don’t let the storm go throgh

yo. Yo can have peace. Yo can know that yor tre is

secre. Whatever yo are going throgh today, God has a

plan to trn it arond or yor good.

On more than one occasion, the Bibles says Moses,

“cried ot to the Lord.” There’s something abot weeping and

getting broken beore God. God can trn yor tragedy into

trimph. Cry ot to God . . . let Him do what yo cannot. Place

yor cares and brdens in His hands. Remember, throgh

every sitation God is instilling the D.N.A. o leadership and

prpose in yor lie.

I met a young girl on the second day of our fast. She gave her heart to Jesus an d
