The CIEP offers several activities to introduce its students to American culture. One of those activities is the Conversation Partner Program, which matches you with a fluent English speaker from UNI. It will enable you to experience American culture and help you practice your English listening and speaking skills in a conversational setting.

Reasons to Participate:
Conversation Partner Program
How toParticipate:Your instructors will give you a form on the first day of class or you can pick one up at the CIEP office or visit the website at: http://www.uni.edu/ciep/social-cultural-activities/conversation-partner-program
Meet with your conversation partner a minimum of one hour each week
Speak English at least one hour during each meeting
Attend an orientation session where you will learn about program guidelines
Contact your partner immediately if you are unable to attend a meeting
Attend a Meet & Greet Night where you will meet your conversation partner for the first time
