Saving your Edited Image Choose one of these three options for saving. Save – With this option, you will probably want to check to make sure that the Back up box is checked, so that can keep the original image. PhotoScape will create a folder called Originals within the folder in which your picture was saved. Save in the designated folder – Be sure to notice the path. IMPORTANT – this is a shared piece of software, so it is likely that someone else’s home directory is listed as the designated folder. You may change this by clicking the Browse button (shown as …) and navigating to your home directory. Save As – This is likely the best option. You may control the file name you give your edited image, and may control where you save it. Correcting the Backlight Use this feature (under the Home tab) to correct a background that is too light or too dark. Click the down arrow next to the backlight button. If the background is too dark, choose one of the + (increase) options, and if it is too light, choose one of the – (decrease) options. Experiment until you get the results you want, then save. Some Fun Special Effects
