It makes you feel more connected to your local library - like the Library is YOURS - which it is.
It's just 'friendlier' than a council website, which I wouldn't bother visiting of an evening, but I'm happy to look at the library's Facebook page.
I am given information that I didn't know I wanted, if I don't want to follow it further, fine, but if I do then I end up finding something interesting that I didn't know - like the Flickr photos.
