FIAT delivers in one day, the biggest single order for hatchbacks in India for Punto Evo
Mumbai/ Surat, October 20, 2014: Fiat Group Automobiles India Private Limited (FGAIPL)
today delivered its biggest bulk order for FIAT Punto with 455 cars to a prominent business
house in Surat, Gujarat. The cars were gifted to employees as Diwali bonus. This is the largest
single delivery made by any car company in India, according to industry sources. This is also
the biggest number of cars given as Diwali bonus by any company.
FIAT Punto was launched in India on August 5, 2014. The Punto Evo had significant design
changes which appealed to a modern, stylish, younger audience. FIAT has retained the Italian
design and quality to meet the Indian needs.
The order of 190 Punto Evo 1.2 Petrol and 265 Punto Evo 1.3 Diesel in New Pearl White and
Minimal Grey colours was taken by Sukrit Autolink, FIAT exclusive dealer in Surat.
Punto Evo has best in class ground clearance at 195 mm making it ideal for Indian roads.
Punto Evo is also fully loaded with a host of first-in-class features like rear AC vents, premium
soft touch two tone dash, ambient light, all four auto down power windows, dual stage driver
side airbag, smart wipers and 16” alloys, which is available at an attractive price point.
Besides, it offers best-in-class 3 year warranty with option of extending it to 2 more years and
convenient service intervals of 15,000 km for a hassle free ownership experience. FIAT is also
offering 3 year/ 45,000 km total repair and maintenance program at attractive rates for New
Punto Evo customers.
