Manebhanjyang- Meghma-Tumling-Gairibas-Kalpokhari-Sandakphu

• Day1: Manebhanjyang-Sandakphu: - Arrive from NJP/IXB to Manebhanjyang. The journey takes on an average 3 to 4 hours. At Manebhanjyang. The journey takes on an average 3 to 4 hours. • Day2: Sandakphu-Tumling:-Morning Sunrise from Sandakphu. Visit the sacred Shiv Mandir and a trip to nearby rhododendron forest. After breakfast leave for Tumling with stoppages at Kalpokhari Lake. Stay at Tumling.

• Day3: Tumling-Manebhanjyang:-Visit Meghma Monastery. Walk from Tumling till Tonglu and vehicle till Manebhanjyang.

• Day2: Sandakphu-Phalut-Sandakphu:-Morning Sunrise from Sandakphu. Visit the sacred Shiv Mandir and a trip to nearby rhododendron forest. After breakfast leave for Phalut with packed Lunch. Return to Sandakphu to view the sunset. Stay at Sandakphu.

• Day3: Sandakphu-Kalpokhari-Jaubari-Tumling:-Leave Sandakphu after breakfast. Visit the sacred Kalpokhari Lake and Jaubari an ethnic Sherpa village. Stay at Tumling.

• Day4:- Tumling-Meghma-Manebhanjyang: - Leave Tumling after breakfast. Visit Meghma Monastery as well as Rhododendron Forest and arrive at Manebhanjyang. (Two Hours)

Manebhanjyang- Meghma-Tumling-Gairibas-Kalpokhari-Sandakphu-Phalut

• Day1:- Manebhanjyang-Tumling. Reach Manebhanjyang and take Land Rover till Chitre or Meghma. The hike route from Chitre till Meghma is very easy and picturesque. Visit the Meghma Monastery and the hike from Tonglu till Tumling is also very picturesque. Stay at Tumling.

• Day 2:- Tumling-Jaubari-Gairibas-Kalpokhari-Sandakphu. After breakfast move to Jaubari an ethnic Sherpa Village. Thereafter a small downhill walk till Gairibas. Packed Meal at Gairibas and then move to Sandakphu. Evening sunset at Sandakphu. Stay at Sandakphu.

• Day3:- Sandakphu-Phalut-Sandakphu. Morning sunrise from Sandakphu. Visit the local Shiv Mandir and the rhododendron forest. Transport in Vehicle till Phalut. Packed Meal at Phalut and Return to Sandakphu. The journey from Sandakphu till Phalut is the most scenic journey in the entire trek. Return to Sandakphu/Tumling.

• Day4:- After breakfast return to Manebhanjyang. Packed Meal at Tumling or Manebhanjyang.

� Day 01: Bagdogra-Kurseong/Darjeeling/Mirik: - Pickup from Airport andstay at Kurseong/Darjeeling/Mirik.

Optional: - One can also reach Manebhanjyang directly from NJP/IXB which is athree hours journey. The travelers should reach Manebhanjyang by 1 pm tobegin trekking on the same day.

� Day02: Kurseong/Darjeeling/Mirik-Manebhanjyang-Tumling: - (12KmTrek) the trek starts after an early morning drive of about one hour fromDarjeeling to Manebhanjyang. From Manebhanjyang one can get the firstglimpse of the trekking route. The first camp - site is at Tumling at 3000meters, which is 11 Km from Manebhanjang. We also halt at MeghmaMonastery which is 1Km before Tumling and is the only monastery in theworld to house 100 statues of Lord Buddha in his various forms.

PURE ECO-TREKS

Day 03: Tumling -Gairibas –Kalipokhari: - (12 Km) Resume Trekking from

Tumling to Gairibas via Jaubari. Trails lead one through bamboo glades

and farmlands with quaint little villages habited by warm and friendly

Sherpa communities. Gairibas to Kalipokhari is a continuous climb

through the rhododendron forests. Distance is 6 Kms and it takes 3 hrs

walks from Gairibas. Halt at Kalipokhari.walks from Gairibas. Halt at Kalipokhari.

Optional:-Tumling-Gairibas-Kalpokhari-Sandakphu. One can also resume trek from

Kalpokhari till Sandakphu on the same day and avoid halting at Sandakphu. The distance

between Kalpokhari and Sandakphu is 6 Km out of which the last 4 Km is a steep climb.

Day 04: Kalipokhari – Sandakphu:- (6Km)After breakfast trek from

Kalipokhari to Sandakphu, From Kalipokhari the road descends to Bikhe-

bhanjyang -Valley of Poison. Trek from Bikhe-bhanjyang to Sandakphu is a

steep climb of 4 kms and takes about two hour to cover this trek.

PURE ECO-TREKS

Day 05: Sandakphu – Phalut:- (21Km) After Breakfast trek from Sandakphu toPhalut. .The stretch from Sandakphu to Phalut provides the most spectacularbackdrop view of the mountain range in the entire trek. Halt at Phalut.

Optional: - Sandakphu-Rimbick:- From Sandakphu one can descend till Bikhe-bhanjyang from where there is downhill slope leading till Rimbick. Trek Ends atRimbick.

Day 06: Phalut – Ramam:- (15Km) From Phalut the trail descends through thevirgin forest of chestnut, pines, hemlock etc. till the trail reaches the meetingof two streams called Gorkhey Khola. Resume trekking via Samandin toRamam Trekkers Hut

Day 07: Ramam – Rimbik:- (11Km)Trek from Ramam to Rimbik, Halt at trekkershut. Trek ends.

Day 08: Rimbik – Bagdogra Airport(IXB)/New Jalpaiguri Railway Station(NJP): -(120Km)Drive from Rimbik to IXB/NJP.
