Board Function SummaryBoard Functions

SMUIIs the main control board of a frame. Provides program loading and control for all devices in the system, data configuration and working status control functions.

SIUI SIUI board is the back board of SMUI. It provides the Ethernet interface for the back wiring of SMUI.

IFMI The IFMI is used to receive and transmit IP packets, process Media Access Control (MAC) layer messages, distribute IP messages and provide IP interfaces together with the BFII.

BFII BFII is the back interface board of the IFMI. It is used to implement FE driver processing and enable the external physical interface of the IFMI.

HSCI provides bridge connection of left shared resource bus with right one, board hot swap control and intra-frame Ethernet bus exchange.

FCCU The Fixed Calling Control Unit (FCCU) implements call control, processes protocols, generates and stores bills in its bill pool.

CDBI As the database of the equipment, the CDBI stores all data of the following aspects:call location, gateway resources management, outgoing trunk circuit selection.

BSGI BSGI is used to process the IP packets after the IFMI level-1 dispatch. It implements the following protocols: UDP, SCTP, M2UA, M3UAV5UA, IUA, MGCP, H.248.

MSGI The Multimedia Signaling Gateway Unit (MSGI) processes the following protocols: UDP, TCP, H.323 (including H.323 RAS and H.323 Call Signaling), SIP.

MRCA The MRCA processes the audio signals in real time. It collects and generates DTMF signals, plays and records audio clips and provides multi-party conference function.

MRIA The Media Resource Interface Unit (MRIA) is the back board of the MRCA, providing 10/100-Mbps interface for the external media streams.

ALUI ALUI is the monitoring board, inserted in slot 16 of the service frame. It indicates the system status and reports the alarm information obtained by other means.

UPWRThe power boards, including front and back boards, providing power supply to all the boards in the frame. Each power board occupies two slots. The power boards work in 2 + 2 backup mode.
