ABOUT HORUS VISION Horus’ cutting-edge technology improves shooting accuracy at extended ranges and increases the likelihood of a first-

round hit. Horus’ reticles and simplified shooting methodology improves accuracy at any distance and can make anyone

an expert marksman. Horus also leads the way in ballistics software. Our ATrag™ ballistics algorithms were developed

and refined by the former chief of ARDEC's small-arms division, William C. Davis. Horus Vision was founded in 2000 and

is headquartered in San Bruno, California.

HORUS RETICLES OVERVIEW Horus reticles are an evolutionary advancement in reticle design. Our patented Horus Grid replaces outdated mildots,

eliminating the need for dialing knobs and counting clicks when making adjustments. Some Horus reticles provide

additional features including advanced speed shooting features, moving target holds, grey-light guides, and MOA/IOA

range finders (see Comparison Chart of Horus Reticle Features in this manual). Horus reticles are intuitive and so easy to

use, they actually reduce training time to mere hours. They’re built with ergonomically precise, high-quality optics, and

unlike bulky mil dots, the Horus Grid does not obscure targets.

SMOA RANGE FINDER To assist in determining distance to target, the H25 features a range finder calibrated in Shooter’s Minute of Angle (SMOA), familiar to hunters. Alternately, the H25’s Horus Grid can be used for ranging in mils (see the Horus Grid manual for details).

Figure 4: The H25’s SMOA range finder is shown positioned in front of a target to assist in determining range.

HOW TO USE

Figure 5: The H25’s SMOA range finder being used to determine range. A deer’s standard chest height of 24” is shown to measure 6 SMOA tall. The target’s real world height (24”)and image height (6) are plugged into the standard formula for range, determining range to be 400 yards.

BOLD DUPLEX STADIA LINES

In twilight or contrasting light conditions, the reticle’s thin markings may become difficult to see against dark targets. The H25’s bold duplex stadia lines provide a quick and highly visible way to locate reticle center in low light conditions. They occur along the reticle’s main horizontal crosshair, and taper down to fine tips pointing towards reticle center, leaving space for a clear uncluttered view.

HOW TO USE

Center target in the gap between the bold duplex stadia lines when fine reticle markings are hard to see due to low or contrasting light conditions.

Figure 6: Target shown centered between the H25’s bold duplex stadia lines in low light conditions.

Horus Vision      10                                                  650‐588‐8862

ILLUMINATION PATTERN

The H25 reticle features a red illumination pattern for low-light situations, providing visible hold points when black reticle markings become difficult to see against dark targets. An illuminated cross clearly marks reticle center. Illumination points along the center vertical stadia line indicate even-numbered secondary stadia lines from 2 to 12 mils.

Figure 7: An 8-mil drop hold is shown using the H25’s illumination pattern. The target is placed behind the illumination point on the 8-mil drop line.

HOW TO USE

1. Turn your scope’s illumination on. Consult scope manual for specific instructions.

2. If your scope does not have variable illumination brightness, skip to step 3. Viewing the target through your scope, determine whether the illumination pattern is bright enough to stand out clearly against the target. Select the lowest setting that provides adequate illumination for use. Using less illumination will help your eye resolve the target image better through the riflescope. Consult scope manual for specific instructions on adjusting variable illumination brightness.

3. Place your target behind the illuminated aim point best suited to your required vertical adjustment. For zero vertical adjustment, use the cross. For even-numbered vertical mil adjustments, use the dots. For odd-numbered vertical mil adjustments, hold between dots.

HORUS GRID The Horus Grid is an evolutionary advancement in reticle design. It replaces outdated mildots with a purely visual method

for making adjustments. Instead of turning knobs or counting clicks, you visually reposition aim up and down, left and right

using the Horus Grid. Making adjustments takes mere seconds and happens while looking through the scope. All Horus

reticles contain the Horus Grid, though implementation may vary in appearance from one reticle to the next.

KEY FEATURES

Make horizontal and vertical adjustments with grid, no dialing knobs or counting clicks required Second Shot Correction™, a unique method for making a fail-safe hit after missed first shot Range finding, measure targets in mils to aid in determining range to target
