Spanish Pronouns!
As you advance in your Spanish studies, you’ll quickly find that in order to
understand and, in turn, be understood, you’ll have to have a good handle on
how Spanish pronouns work. But with so many different types and confusing
rules, it can seem like a daunting task to keep them all straight.
Idioma PRO: Everything there is to know about Spanish Pronouns, 1st edition
was made to help you quickly summarize and review the key points about
Spanish pronouns. The lesson pages visually show all the rules and examples
that you need to know to help you understand how and when to use each type of
pronoun. Furthermore, simple charts (with green headers in the center of each
page) quickly sum up each lesson so you don’t have to spend a lot of time
reviewing later.
You don’t have to work through this book page by page from beginning to end in
numerical order. You are obviously more than welcome to do so if you wish, but
also feel free to pick out certain areas that give you trouble and skip directly to

1. The subject of the sentence says who or
what does the action of the verb.
2. The direct object says who or what directly
receives the effect of the verb
3. A direct object pronoun replaces the direct
object (the specific noun) to avoid repetition
in the sentence.
4. The pronoun can be:
• Placed before a conjugated verb
• Attached directly to the end of an
infinitive, gerund, or the imperative

end of the infinitive. For numbers 6-10, put it before the conjugated verb.
