Project Description:@N.19th Development is a mixed-use project located in the Portland Neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. The site was chosen based upon the Portland Investment Initiatives areas of redevelopment and the groupings of multiple abandoned properties and empty lots. The program includes 21st Century Shotgun Homes, Pop-Up Shops, and a Food Truck Hub to create a new social center for the community.
original shotgun typology and create a more usable flow within a narrow space. Multiple modules were created, including a kitchen/stair combination and a stacked bathroom/ utility space to allow for standardization within each unit.
The Pop-Up shops are rental spaces with flexibility in size and leasing duration. They are focused towards artists, designers, makers, DIY-ers, and entrepreneurs who are looking to start a new small business.
The Food Truck Hub is a reuse project, including a bar and rentable food truck parking spaces. This allows food truck owners to build a customer base and take advantage of the indoor amenities provided through the bar, including bathrooms, food prep areas, and seating.
The @N.19th Development was designed as a kit of parts that could be implemented on any site, in commu-nities that are looking for new economic and redevelop-ment opportunities. The 21st Century Shotguns were designed to rethink the

02 URBAN INFILL
The program for this Urban Infill Project was to build ahome/studio space for an artist and her husband in New York. This included an art studio, gallery, offices, and general living spaces. I designed the house inorder to take advantage of the various views, includingthose looking out onto the street and those looking out onto the water in back. Thehouse is arranged so that as you move up in floorsthrough the atrium/staircase space, you progress from public to more private areas.

03 DANCERS RETREATType: Living Learning CommunityLocation: North CarolinaProgram Used: Rhino
Project Description:The Dancers Retreat was designed as an aggregated living learning community for aspiring dancers in the hills of North Carolina. The public spaces were located in the top three buildings, and the private spaces in the bottom two buildings. Within the private spaces are dorm style apartments featuring a loft. In the public spaces there are dance studios, classrooms, an auditorium, gym, lounge and cafe. The buildings in the community are curved inwards to create a more exclusive environment and better views of the lake.

05 ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUMType: MuseumLocation: Program Used: RhinoProject Description:This Archaeological Museum is based on the idea of avertical garden structure sited within the city of Rome. The plan was influenced by the overlooking spaces present in gardens such as those at Villa d’Este and the idea of bringing more green space into the city.In an effort to do this, the walls are covered in live plants on the interior and exterior, offering a beautiful backdrop for the pieces displayed here and for passerbuyers in the community. The garden walls are also curved to help turn the focus away from the fast paced city life and towards the calmness of nature and history. After entering the museum on the main level, visitors are meant to ride the elevator to the third floor, where the museum begins. The roof top and lower level have separate entrances for public use.

Link Up was designed for Hospice,as a modular unit that could be transported to patients or their families homes for them to live in during their time of care. It can be connected to the original house so that all the medical equipment is located in one safe area. Link Up meets not only the needs of the patient, but also the family and caregivers. It is divided into three areas specific for each user group. The patient area is located at the connection point, so that they can be linked to those who are there to support them.
