A half day workshop designed to consider how social mediacan be integrated into a project communication strategy toensure awareness of what is being said about you, by whomand the reaction to it from your stakeholders, customers andthose who influence your reputation. Should we be worriedabout what is being said about us through social media, andhow do we engage with the media to ensure that conversationis accurately informed and ultimately reflects well on ourprojects. A series of short, interactive workshops willillustrate some of the issues, and offer advice on how to usesocial media to our advantage.

Your Masterclass Leader:Ivan is a Director of 3G Communications and the Sauce Consultancy, and is responsible for devisingcommunications strategies and public consultation programmes to support a variety of importantinfrastructure and utility projects. He is managing and implementing the consultation strategy for connectingboth nuclear and major renewables projects to the national electricity transmission network, a programmeextending well beyond 2020. He also led communications for the biggest UK project in National Grid’s history,the Milford Haven Gas Connections project, involving building a 300km gas pipeline from Milford Haven inWales, through the Brecon Beacons, to Gloucestershire.

With over 20 years’ experience of working in the development, construction and engineering industries, Ivanhas held senior management positions with international organisations, leading on the development anddelivery of many major infrastructure projects. Before joining 3G Sauce, Ivan was previously Projects Directorfor Macquarie Infrastructure UK, and Bid Director for Amey Ventures where he led projects in the UK, Asia andthe Middle East.

Cancellation: If you wish to cancel your attendance at an event and you are unable to senda substitute, then we will refund/credit 50% of the due fee less a £50 administrationcharge, providing that cancellation is made in writing and received at least 28 days priorto the start of the event. Regretfully cancellation after this time cannot be accepted.
