Introduction Long Term Evolution Release 10 is the solution that the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) partners came up with, to accommodate the increasing demand of higher transmission rates, lower latencies and IP-based architecture mobile networks. LTE-Advanced is the first technology that fulfilled IMT-A requirements for 4G networks and it has become an available technology since the first half of 2011. 4. Features of LTE-A Peak data rate A downlink peak data rate of 1 Gbps and an uplink of 500Mbps for stationary users. And up to 100 Mbps for roaming.
