The gat eways were f ormed by ext endi ng t he r ai l i ng out wards so as t o f orm a scr een on each si de of t he ent r ance, but t her e were appar ent l y no t r ansoms spanni ng t he ent r ance, l i ke t hose of t he Sanchi t or anas.
