Loomis Chaffee Summer Program (LC SP) students learn and live on theschool’s beautiful 300-acre campus in historic Windsor, Connecticut. Theyhave complete access to the wonderful academic facilities and athleticcomplexes. Faculty includes some of the current Loomis Chaffee teachingcommunity as well as other secondary school and college teachers. Taking acue from the full-year school, the Summer Program pledges to engage, care for,listen to and invigorate every student enrolled in the program.
The five-week program will run from June 27-August 1 for students enteringgrades 7-12. Students will enjoy a hands-on experience in our classrooms, labs,
dance and art studios as they pursueopportunities for learning and discovery ina variety of course offerings. The LC SPencourages the exploration of bothfamiliar and new subject matters in anatmosphere that inspires academicengagement, enrichment and growth. Eachstudent must take one of his or her three
courses from our slate of writing courses. Outside of the classroom, studentsengage in daily recreational activities, have access to college guidancecounseling and participate in on- and off-campus activities. Weekendexcursions include travel to local destinations including Boston, New YorkCity, Mystic and the Rhode Island shore. The LC SP promises to provide an environment that combines the wonders of
