LSO TRAINING PROCEDURE FOR ASK YOURSELF TRAINING

12/25/2010 This procedure replaces the “LSO Training Procedure For Ask Yourself Training” dated 12/10/2010. LSO is an acronym for Learning Solutions. Learning Solutions (LSO) is an AT&T training web site. This is a procedural document, the purpose of which is to provide a specific procedure for: 1. Registering as a new user to the LSO training web site. 2. Logging in to the LSO training web site, “Booking” a course, and taking a course. 3. Providing confirmation of successful training completion for AT&T and to the student’s company Single Point Of Contact (SPOC). All employees of suppliers/vendors/companies required to complete the Ask Yourself course must complete the online course available at the LSO web site. The Course Name of the current course is “Ask Yourself”. The Course Number is 51247894. NOTE: Always search on the Course Number. If you search on the Course Name and type in “Ask Yourself”, you will receive a list of Ask Yourself courses, causing confusion.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS All employees of non-AT&T companies working in AT&T facilities are required to complete the online Ask Yourself course annually, by the deadline set by AT&T each year. TRAINING DEADLINE

- Unless otherwise notified, the deadline for completing the online Ask Yourself course each year is September 30th.

- Those who never completed the online Ask Yourself course are required to complete it before being granted access to AT&T facilities.

- Those who completed the online Ask Yourself course last year are required to complete it in the current year, by the deadline.

- Those who completed the online Ask Yourself course this year are required to complete it again next year, by the deadline.

NOTE: If an individual does not complete a course by the deadline date, they will not be permitted to work on AT&T orders, and will not be permitted access to AT&T facilities, until completion of the course has been confirmed by the company’s Single Point Of Contact (SPOC).

SECURITY ISSUES In the past, some companies designated representatives to register all of their employees at the LSO training site instead of requiring each individual employee to register for them self. When they did, the person doing the registering used their own email address for all new registrants instead of the email address of the person being registered. For several reasons, including AT&T Security requirements, no company or company representative may use their email address to apply for registration for anyone other than them self. If a company wants to designate representatives to register all of their employees, a valid email address for each student will have to be submitted with the application. This will result in the system generated confirmation email being sent to the applicant/student, not to the company representatives doing the mass registering. This is required because the system generated confirmation email contains the student’s Password, and only the student should possess their Password (unless someone needs it to assist with trouble shooting a problem the student is having). It is recommended that each company instruct their employees to provide their LSO UserID to a designated company representative. This can be helpful should the employee lose track of their UserID. But, designated company representatives shall not retain their employees’ Passwords. NOTE TO STUDENT: Keep track of your LSO UserID and Password because some courses must be repeated annually. Once you have a UserID issued to you after 01/01/2009, you will not be issued another one unless it becomes necessary to do so in order to resolve a problem.

TROUBLE ASSISTANCE If a student is having trouble logging into the LSO web site for training, or is having trouble while completing training, they shall contact either their company’s Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) or the LSO Help Desk for assistance. No student should directly contact the AT&T Training Coordinator, or their designated representative, for assistance. If a company’s SPOC needs help, they should contact the LSO Help Desk first. If the LSO Help Desk can’t assist, the SPOC may then contact the AT&T Training Coordinator for assistance. If it becomes necessary to contact the LSO Help Desk, the telephone number is 888-878-2752 (or 404-927-0290). Select prompt 5 only. When the Help Desk representative answers, the first thing to do is identify your self as a “Business Partner”. If it becomes necessary for the SPOC to contact the AT&T Training Coordinator, the telephone number is 903-236-3834.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS 1. Everyone required to take courses at the LSO web site will need to apply for registration using the SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS provided in this document. NOTE: All employees of suppliers/vendors/companies (and their subcontractor employees) who were issued a LSO UserID prior to 01/01/2009 must re-apply for registration to the LSO training web site and be issued a new LSO UserID. Instructions on how to apply for registration can be found in Step 1 of the Specific Instruction in this document. WARNING: Anyone completing a course at the LSO web site after 01/01/2009 using an old UserID will be required to repeat the course. 2. The first thing the new applicant will need to do when they apply for registration to the LSO web site is select the name of the company they work for, or the name of the company they will subcontract for, from a drop down list. It is imperative that each company SPOC communicates to their employees the name of their company as it will appear in the drop down box when they go to the LSO web site to apply for registration. If the company the employee works for, or the company the employee will subcontract for, isn’t listed in the drop down box, the employee should notify their company SPOC. If necessary, the SPOC will contact the AT&T Training Coordinator for assistance. NOTE TO STUDENT: Due to programming language issues, the training department is not able to list the companies in alphabetical order the same way they would appear if they were sorted in Excel.

3. After the application has been completed and submitted, the application will need to be approved by the company’s designated “OWNER/APPROVER”. If there aren’t any problems with the application, it will be approved as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours. Here is a list of typical mistakes made by applicants that result in an application being disapproved: - The employee reversed their first and last name on the application. - The employee entered their email address incorrectly. - The email address entered on the application has already been used by someone else. All applications are approved in date order as they appear in the list at the approval web site. 4. Once the application for access to the LSO web site has been approved, a system generated confirmation email will be sent to the email address the student provided when they applied for registration. The confirmation email will include: - the system generated UserID for the student, - the Password the student provided when registering, - the LSO training web site URL, - a reminder to wait 24 hours before accessing the training site. NOTE TO STUDENT: If you attempt to access the training site sooner, you will be redirected to a web page that will not explain the problem, resulting in frustration and wasted time. 5. Twenty-four hours after the student has received their system generated confirmation email, they may log in to the LSO training web site, “BOOK” a course, and complete a course using the SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS provided in this document.

Page 7: LSO Training Procedure For Ask Yourself Training - 122510

6. Once the student has successfully completed a course, they must print their Certificate of Completion (to be carried with them when working in AT&T facilities), and they must provide confirmation of successful course completion to their company’s SPOC. How to do both of these is described in the SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS in this document.

If you passed the course with a score of 80 or greater, you will be given the opportunity to print a Certificate of Completion. STOP – Do not Exit the course yet. You need to do Step 3 of this procedure which will tell you how to print a copy of the Certificate of Completion. You will need to carry the certificate with you when working in AT&T facilities.

Page 11: LSO Training Procedure For Ask Yourself Training - 122510

Step 3 – How to print a copy of the Certificate of Completion. NOTE TO STUDENT: The reason for doing this is different than providing your company’s SPOC with confirmation of course completion. The procedure is different, too, so follow the instructions closely. Here is why you are being instructed to do this step. There may be times when you try to access an AT&T office that you will be asked for your proof of course completion. The Certificate of Completion is your proof of course completion. You should still be in the course. The web page showing you successfully completed the course and your score should be displayed. - Click the “Print” button. When you do, a box will open that contains the Certificate of Completion, and over top of that the “Print” box will open. - Click the “Print” button and wait for the certificate to print. - Close the “Certificate” window. - Click the “Exit Course” button in the top right-hand corner of the web page. - You should be at the “Manage My Learning” page.

Page 12: LSO Training Procedure For Ask Yourself Training - 122510

How to print a copy of the Certificate of Completion after course completion and after exiting LSO NOTE TO STUDENT: The date on the certificate will be today’s date, not the actual date you completed the course. - Log in to LSO and find the course using the course number. - Click the course link in the middle of the screen. - On the right hand side of the web page, go to the bottom of the web page - Click “Review Course”. - A “Windows Internet Explorer” information box will open that reads, “You have previously been in this lesson. Would you like to return to the last visited location in the lesson?” Click the “OK” button. - Go to the bottom of this web page and click the “Print” button at the bottom right of the web page. - When your printer’s “Print” box opens over top of the certificate, click the “Print” button. - Close the “Cert…” window. - Click the “Exit Course” button in the upper right hand corner of the web page. - Exit LSO.

Step 4 – How to confirm successful completion of a course to the company SPOC. NOTE TO STUDENT: There is more than one way to accomplish this task. It is the responsibility of the SPOC at each company to communicate which method is to be used within your company. 1. You can mail a copy of the Certificate of Completion to your SPOC. 2. You FAX a copy of the Certificate of Completion to your SPOC. 3. You can email a copy of your transcript to your SPOC. To email a copy of your transcript to your SPOC, follow this part of the procedure. It will provide the SPOC with your name, the course number, the course name, and the Learning Progress section. This part of the procedure will require you to do two screen captures to get everything into one Word document. NOTE TO STUDENT: For an example of what your two screen shots should look like, see pages 16 & 17 in this document. A. As stated at the end of Step 3, you should be at the “Manage My Learning” page. B. Here are the instructions for doing the first screen capture, which will provide your SPOC with your name, the course number, and the course name: - On your keyboard, hold down the “Shift” key and depress the “Print Scrn” key (or “Print Screen” key), which is usually to the right of the F1-F12 function keys at the top of the keyboard. This copies the screen to the Clipboard so you can Paste it into a Word document. C. Here are the instructions for Pasting the Clipboard into a Word document: - Open a Word document. - In the new Word document, hold down the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard and depress the “V” key. This will Paste the clipboard into the document.

Page 14: LSO Training Procedure For Ask Yourself Training - 122510

D. Switch back to the LSO web page in Internet Explorer so you can do the second screen capture. E. Here are the instructions for doing the second screen capture, which will provide your SPOC with the “Learning Progress” section: - Use the internal scroll bar on the right side to scroll down almost all the way to the bottom. - Make sure you can see all of the information under the “Learning Progress” heading, such as the Completion Date, Learning Objects, Learning Progress, Score, Completion Progress, and Completion Status. - On your keyboard, hold down the “Shift” key and depress the “Print Scrn” key (or “Print Screen” key), which is usually at the top of the keyboard, to the right of the F1-F12 function keys. This copies the screen to the Clipboard so you can Paste it into a Word document. F. Here are the instructions for Pasting the Clipboard into the Word document: - Switch back to the Word document. - Go to page 2 of the Word document. - Hold down the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard and depress the “V” key. This will Paste the clipboard into the document.

Page 15: LSO Training Procedure For Ask Yourself Training - 122510

G. Save the Word document to your hard drive. Not only will you attach this Word document to an email to send to your SPOC, you will have a copy of it in case you are asked by someone later to provide evidence of course completion. With a saved copy of this Word document on your computer, you won’t have to go back to the LSO web site and create another copy of it. You can save the Word document to whatever folder on your hard drive you want to save it. - Save the Word document to the hard drive of your computer, giving it a file name that includes your name and the name of the course. For example, if your name was Dick Clark, your file name would look like this – “dick_clark_ask_yourself.doc” (without the quotes). - Attach the Word document to an email and send it to your SPOC (and maybe to yourself and your supervisor).
