Little Tikes™ to Recall Tool Bench Toys
“1.7 million toys could pose a safety concern”
Hudson, Ohio (February 26, 2014) – Little Tikes is issuing a recall for more than 1.7 million
toy workshop and tool bench sets because of an accessory posing a choking hazard possibility.
By definition, the accessories under examination do in fact qualify as a choking hazard,
and although are bigger than mainstream choking size for kids, for the safety of your children we
are issuing a recall.
The red and blue screws in the Little Tike tool bench are what you need to watch out for.
Although they haven’t affected any children, the size still poses a possible threat that we would
like to address immediately.
Your child’s safety is our greatest interest. “Here at Little Tikes we pride ourselves on the
safety of our products and trustworthiness of our consumers, as we clearly state in our mission
statement. I want to extend my fullest apologies for the product size concerning the safety of
your children. Please contact us immediately if you have purchased this product, or have any
other concerns with this play set,” stated Isaac Larian, CEO and President, Little Tikes.
In this event Little Tikes would like to recall all tool bench screws and offer customers
government regulated size blue and red screws free of charge. For more information please visit
