Moral Law Definition

The basic meaning of the word "moral" is:

relating to, or capable of making the distinction

between right and wrong.

The Moral Law also called

the Ten Commandments do

just that. In a simplistic and

straightforward way, they

clearly make the distinction

between right and wrong

behavior.

The Ceremonial Law is also called Moses Law

and it was added because of the transgression

of the Moral Law. The Ceremonial law

consisted of ordinances, ceremonies and

sacrifices in the sanctuary system that pointed

to the future redemption through Jesus Christ.
