Awareness & training for quality child care

Movement is not just important for helping children grow physically strong and healthy, it’s a key factor in overall development! Through movement, children

develop their thinking and communication skills as they explore and interact with their world. Movement also builds self-confidence.

Try these simple activities with your kids, and get moving!

Overcoming ObstaclesEncourage your kids to use their bodies in different ways by setting up boxes to crawl through, pillows to jump on, and things to run around.

Let’s RidePretend you’re cowboys and gallop around like a horse! Have your kids round up all of their stuffed animals.

Lights, Camera, Action!Read your kids’ favorite story aloud while they act it out. This promotes gross motor development and making associations between words and actions.

You’re It!Playing tag together will increase your kids’ agility, coordination, balance, and endurance – and increase your endurance, too!

Hop, Jump, SkipPlay Hopscotch together! Jumping is great for proprioceptive input – the way joints and muscles send messages to the brain to help coordinate movement.
