Vineyards situationThe Nuits-Saint-Georges wines are produced in two villages : Nuits-Saint-Georgesand Premeaux-Prissey.The soils are basically composed of limestone and marl. A perfect exposure tothe East gives the capacity to produce splendid wines.
Characteristics«Les Chaînes Carteaux» vineyard is on the Nuits Saint Georges commune, near"Les Vaucrains" and just over "Les Saint Georges". Facing East. The subsoil is notvery deep, rather stony with limestone and chalk.
Wine makingThis wine is fermented in vats for 3-4 weeks and then aged 15 months in oakbarrels before bottling.
Winemaker's comments / GastronomyMaison Louis Jadot produces a fruity and supple wine with elegant tannins . Itdevelops red fruits aromas, such as blackberries, blueberries and earthy aromaswhen ageing.
Les Chaînes Carteaux is a good companion for game or meat in red wine sauces,as well as marinated or roasted poultry. It matches also very well not too strongcheese.
PreservationThis wine will age easily for 12-15 years in good conditions of temperature andhumidity, and even more in good vintages.
