ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
University College of Engineering
Villupuram, a Constituent College of
Anna University was started in the year
2008. The College offers five Under
Graduate courses and a Post Graduate
course in the field of Engineering and
Technology. The College is situated at
Kakuppam, Villupuram town with an
extent of 17.5 acres which includes
excellent academic building, hostels,
mess and canteen. The College is well
equipped with smart lecture halls,
spacious conference Halls, necessary
laboratories and advanced equipment
for research and academic activities.
The students from different parts of
Tamilnadu with different background
are selected on the basis of merit
through TNEA, conducted by Anna
University.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mechanical
Engineering provides strong
background to Engineering Students
to cope up with the needs of emerging
technology at National and
International levels. The Department
is the pioneer in offering Under
Graduate course in Mechanical
Engineering and Post Graduate course
in Internal Combustion Engineering
( FT & PT ) besides Ph.D. programme
in the areas of Thermal Science and
Manufacturing Engineering.
