PARISH MEMBERSHIP
Welcome! Every Catholic should be registered in the Parish. Letters of testimony for Godparents and Sponsors cannot be given unless one is registered. All
parishioners should be active in parish life and be known to one of the Parish Priests. Stewardship (church support) is a serious responsibility of every Catholic. We urge all parishioners to make regular use of their collection envelopes. When moving,
notify the Parish office.
OUR LADY OF SORROWS MISSION STATEMENT We are Catholic Christians of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish who are conscious of the
plan of God for the salvation of all. We praise the Lord in our everyday lives by sharing our faith and talents with each other for the continued growth of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish Community. We wish to live the Beatitudes of Jesus and put them
into practice in our daily lives as we answer His call to evangelization.
“Anyone who gives a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, amen, I say to you, you will surely not lose his reward.” (MARK 9:41)
Does your life reflect the life of Jesus? Remember, we were made in His image. We tend to forget this. When others see you, do they see the face of Jesus? When you look at others, do you see the face of Jesus in them?
St. Jude Novena with Holy Mass will be cel-ebrated by Msgr. Gilchrist each Monday evening at 7:00 PM until November 9th. Confession will be at 6:30 PM immediately prior to the Novena.
2015 MASS BOOK The 2015 Mass Book will be opened on October 12th, 2015. The following procedures will be implemented for the new Mass book: INITIALLY, ONLY FOUR (4) MASSES (2 weekends & 2 weekdays) will be offered to Any One Family. These Masses will be put in the Mass book PRIOR to the actual opening date in the order they are received. After all parishioners have had a chance to obtain Mass intentions, you will then be able to request more (no more than four at any one time to any one family) after the Mass scheduling for 2015 has been open for one month. No Masses will be accepted by phone. However, you may write your list of Masses (no more than four) and together with the offering send it or drop it in the mail slot at the Rectory. Please include who is requesting the Mass and their tele-phone number. Our bulletin will publish both the intention and the donor. If you would like your Mass dates con-firmed, please include a stamped self-addressed return envelope. If the Mass time you are requesting is not avail-able, we will substitute a date as close to the date you are requesting as possible. ALL MASS STIPENDS ARE $10.00. There will be no individual intentions for New Year’s Day, Easter, Christ-mas, Mothers’ Day or Fathers’ Day, and the week of All Souls. Spiritual Bouquet Mass cards will be made availa-ble for all parishioners for these occasions.
