We are a “green school” (environmental school)

We have been involved in a Catalan Government project for 4 years whose aim is to make our school friendlier and more self-aware of the enviromemnt.

Our School Environmental Committee has placed selective collection containers in every classroom.

Our goal is not only to collect paper, plastic and glass waste generated in the classrooms, labs and other facilities and throw them into the recycling containers, but to care for their maintenance as well.

Can and battery collection

We have placed can and battery containers in the school hall and playground with the Town Council support.

We`ve started a campaign in order to reduce waste in the playground obtaining excellent results.This chart shows the significant fall after this campaign.

This computer waste is collected by a specialized firm

Waste collection generated by electricity and car industry courses.

The waste generated in these courses, such as oil, scrap iron, exhaust pipes, batteries, etc, is collected in special containers and later collected and recycled by a specialized private firm

Pollution reduction

The setting up of solar panels and bicycle parking racks in our school has helped pollution go down.

Best use of organic waste

We have built compost boxes and the compost is used as a fertilizer for our environment-friendly orchard and other plants in our school.
