So called „Roughness Index“ (RI) is a relative number which enables the user to compare the tread patterns. The higher is the value of the index the rougher is the pattern no matter the size of the tyre. This scale corresponds to the right usage of each pattern for each type of terrain starting from a smooth asphalt road up to broken heavy stony or muddy terrain. Even though the complete characteristics must be more detailed yet this system gives a fast, simple and effective orientation in the pattern assortment.

Der sgn. Index der Rauhigkeit (RI) ist eine relative Zahl, die es dem Benutzer ermöglicht, die einzelnen Profile miteinander zu vergleichen. Je höher der Indexwert ist, desto grober ist das Profil, ohne Einfluss auf die Nenngrösse des Reifens. Diese Skala entspricht der Nutztauglichkeit des Reifens für jeden einzelnen Terraintypus, von glattem Asphalt bis zum schweren, steinigen oder schlammigen Terrain. Obwohl eine vollständige Charakteristik viel ausführlicher sein sollte, gibt dieses System eine schnelle, einfache und wirksame Orientierung im Profilsortiment.

Tzv. index hrubosti (Roughness Index-RI) je relativní číslo, které umožní uživateli vzájemné porovnání dezénů. Čím je hodnota indexu vyšší, tím je dezén hrubší bez ohledu na velikost pláště. Této škále odpovídá vhodnost použití pro jednotlivé typy terénu od hladké asfaltové silnice až po nejtěžší kamenitý nebo bahnitý povrch. Třebaže úplná charakteristika musí být podrobnější, přesto tento systém poskytne rychlou, jednoduchou a účinnou orientaci v sortimentu dezénů.

A band of a special rubber placed between the tread and the carcass decreases the possibility of having a puncture (high structural strength and hardness). It increases the rigidity and strength of the tyre crown, and decreases the tyre drag while maintaining the adhesive force.

Extremely thick (5mm) rubber buffer produced from a special compound placed between tread and carcass. Thanks to its properties and size it prevents from puncture or cutoff by majority of sharp objects under standard usage. While riding in traffic riders safety is enhanced by reflex stripe applied on every STU tyre. The buffer increases stiffness and strength in the crown area and such reduces drag while keeping adhesion.

Min. 3,5 mm thick rubber buffer produced from a special compound, placed between tread and carcass. Due to its properties prevents from having puncture or cutoff and such eliminates risk of tyre defect while common using. It increases stiffness and strength in the crown area and such eliminates drag while keeping adhesion. Optimal properties are reached by application together with Long Way construction and with reflective stripe.

Ein zusätzlicher Gürtel aus speziellem Gummi befindet sich zwischen der Karkasse und der Lauffläche und sorgt für bessere Pannensicherheit. Dieser Gürtel ergibt eine höhere Steifheit und Festigkeit an der Reifenkrone. Dies vermindert den Rollwiderstand, aber das Profil der Aufstandsfläche bleibt offen, wodurch eine gute Haftung gewährleistet.

Ein extrem 5,0 mm starker Stoßpuffer, produziert aus einer speziellen Gummi-mischung, befindet sich zwischen der Kar-kasse und der Lauffläche des Reifens. Seine Eigenschaften und sein Volumen verhindern bei geläufiger Nutzung den Durchschlag und die Durchdringung, verursacht durch Alles und Beliebige. In Anbetracht des Einsatzes auf den Verkehrswegen, ist gleichzeitig mit der Technologie STU für erhöhte Sicherheit, auch ein Reflexstreifen verwendet. STU steigert die Steifheit und die Stabilität in der Reifenkrone, wodurch der Rollwiderstand bei gleichzeitiger Erhaltung der Adhäsionseigenschaften vermindert wird.

Ein mindestens 3.5 mm starker Gum-migürtel befindet sich zwischen der Karkasse und der Lauffläche des Reifens. Die spezielle Gummimischung verhindert den Schlauchdurchschlag. ST steigert die Steifheit und die Stabilität des Reifens, wodurch der Rollwiderstand bei gleichzei-tiger Erhaltung der Adhäsionseigenschaften vermindert wird. Für die Erzielung der optimalen Eigenschaften wird die Kons-truktion Long Way zusammen mit dem Reflexstreifen angewendet.

PUNCTURE ENEMY (PE) The tyre is being double protected – by a rubber buffer (APS) bellow the tread pattern and by a specially treated textile (CE) which is placed in the whole tyre profile area. Thanks to the double protection is the tread protected in a maximum possible way from puncture and the specially treated textile protects the tyre in the sidewall area also from puncture. Tyres with this special protection are designed for very heavy terrain and service conditions where long durability, safety and reliability are required.

Jedná se o duální ochranu pláště složenou z pryžového nárazníku (APS) umístěného pod korunou běhounu a speciální impregnované tkaniny (CE), která je umístěna v oblasti celého profilu pláště. Díky duální ochranně je koruna pláště maximálně možným způsobem chráněna proti průrazu a použitá speciální tkanina pak zabraňuje bočnímu průrazu. Pláště s touto ochranou jsou určeny pro velmi těžké terény a provozní podmínky v nichž vykazují dlouhodobou spolehlivost, bezpečnost a životnost.

CUT ENEMY (CE) Special treated textile applied throughout the whole tyre profile. Its design and position increase the overall stiffness of the tyre casing and significantly protect the tyre against a side puncture, which reduces the risk of defects. The structure has been designed for heavy duty conditions requiring safety and reliability.

Ein spezielles imprägnieren Textilien, das im gesamten Profilbereich des Fahrradreifens angeordnet ist. Dank seiner Eigenschaften und Anordnung erhöht es die Festigkeit der Karkasse und schützt den Fahrradreifen wesentlich gegen den seitlichen Durchschlag und damit verringert sich das Defektrisiko. Die Konstruktion ist für anspruchsvolle Betriebsbedingungen bestimmt, die Sicherheit und Zuverlässigkeit erfordern.

Combination of these two compounds predetermines the tyre for racing purposes providing low drag for fast riding and excellent grip and control in curves and traverse.

Aus zwei Mischungen zusammengesetzte spezielle Konstruktion - eine weiche Adhäsionsmischung (SSC – Grey Line) für die einzelnen Elemente des Seitensprofiles und die bewährte Gummimischung (CRX), welche die Grundschicht und die einzelnen Elemente des Mittels- und Seitensprofiles bildet. Die Verbindung der zwei Gummimischungen ist eine ideale Kombination für Wettkampfreifen, mit der Berücksichtigung des niedrigem Rollwiderstandes für eine schnelle Fahrt und ausgezeichneten Adhäsionseigenschaften in den Kurven oder bei Fahrt in seitlicher Neigung.

Speciální konstrukce složena ze dvou směsí – měkká adhezní směs (SSC – Grey Line) pro boční figury a osvědčená směs (CRX) tvořící podklad a střední figury i boční figury. Special blue liquid sealant latex-based is intended mainly for tyres of TUBELESS SUPRA construction in order to create tubeless system. It can be also used for classic inflatable tyres as preventive and corrective instrument against tube defects.

Spezieller, blauer, flüssiger Kitt auf der Basis von Latexmilch, ist bei den Fahrradreifen mit der Konstruktion TUBELESS SUPRA, für die Bildung des Schlauchfreiensystems bestimmt. TOP ANTIPUNCTURE SYSTEM (TAS)Reinforcement of the tube in the tread area makes the tube more resistant to pinch and puncture. The reinforcement offers higher resistance to the penetrating object. The tube is partly pushed into the inside area of the tyre and this prevents the tube from penetration or causes only a partial penetration. It is an ideal solution for bicycle touring.

Verstärkung der Schlauchwand in dem Rei-fenlaufflächebereich steigert die Durchschlag- und Durchstichwiderstandsfähigkeit. Die Verstärkung leistet grösseren Widerstand dem penetrierenden Gegenstand. Die Schlauchwand wird teilweise in den Innenbereich des Reifens abgedrückt und lässt keine oder nur eine Teildurchdringung zu. Es ist eine ideale Lösung für die Fahrradturistik.

Zesílení stěny duše v oblasti koruny zvyšuje odolnost proti průpichu a průrazu. Zesílení klade větší odpor pronikajícímu objektu. Tím se částečně odtlačuje stěna duše od vnitřku pláště a nedovolí žádný nebo pouze částečný průnik. Ideální řešení pro turistiku.

ANTISNAKE BITE SYSTEM (ABS)Reinforcement of the tube in the area of the rim arm markedly lowers the possibility of the puncture „snake bike“. When running against a hindrance and during deformation of the tyre profile the tube walls strike against each other. The reinforced part of the tube is softer with higher flexibility and camber radius. This highers the tube wall interface, lowers the specific pressure and the puncture strength, which is dangerous for the inferior part of the tube profile, is subsequently lowered. This effect can be reached by null weight increase. This tube construction finds its use in extreme terrain conditions DH, FR, 4X and XC.

Verstärkung der Schlauchwand in dem Bereich des Felgenarmes verringert erheblich die „snake bite“ Defektmöglichkeit. Sobald man ein Hindernis anfährt und das Reifenprofil sich verzieht, prallen die Schlauchwände aufeinnan-der. Der verstärkte Teil ist weicher, hat höhere Elastizität und grösseren Wölbungsradius. So wird die Schlauchberührungsfläche vergrössert, der spezifische Druck vermindert und dadurch auch die Durchschlagskraft, die dem dünneren Schlauchprofilbereich gefährlich werden kann. Diesen Effekt erzielt man, ohne das Schlauch-gewicht beträchtlich erhöhen zu müssen. Diese Konstruktion findet ihr Nutzen in extremen Terrainbedingungen DH, FR, 4X und XC.

Zesílení stěny duše v oblasti vrcholu ráfkového raménka výrazně snižuje možnost defektu typu „snake bite“. Při najetí na překážku a deformaci profilu pláště na sebe narazí stěny duše. Zesílená část je měkčí, má vyšší pružnost a větší rádius zakřivení. Tak je zvětšena styčná plocha stěn duše, snížen měrný tlak a následně průrazová síla, nebezpečná pro slabší část profilu duše. Efektu je dosaženo při nevýrazném zvýšení hmotnosti. Tato konstrukce najde uplatnění v extrémních terénních podmínkách DH, FR, 4X a XC.
