• 3. Your task is to write a “knock my socks off” showing statement for each one. Please write them in your writer’s notebook.

The girl was pouting.

Melissa’s lower lip stuck out from her face as she shifted her eyes to the left. I knew from the way her arms were folded tightly across her red shirt, she was not happy with me. The only thing missing was a big tear dripping down her face.

The dog was mean.The ferocious dog rolled his eyes back in his head until all I could see was the whites of his eyes. Long, jagged fangs hung from the inside of his pinkish gray mouth. He snapped at the ball I threw sending a wad of slimy, saliva across the room.

It was a beautiful evening.
