Producers

A producers is a plant that that animals eat such as sunflower, grass, and tree. They also use a prose's of photosynthesis where they make there own food.

Page 5: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Consumers

A consumer eats food.• Carnivore is a meat eater

such as a cheetah.

• Herbivore eats only plants such as a turtle.

• Omnivore eats both meat

and plants such as a bear.

Page 6: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Food chain

Transfer of energy from producer to consumer.

Page 7: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Food web

A bunch of foods chains that overlap.

Page 8: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Decomposer/Scavenger

Decomposer brakes down dead animals and adds nutrients. Such as millipede

Scavenger eat the remains of already dead animals. Such as a sea gull

Page 9: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Biotic/Abiotic

Biotic living things in an ecosystem such as animals.plants.micro organisms.

Abiotic none living parts of an ecosystem such as air, soil tempter partition.

Page 10: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Predator/Pray

Predator they hunt and kill for there food.

Pray an animal that is being hunted by the predator.

Cell Unit

• Plant cell

• animal cell

• Mitosis

• Mitoses

• Punnet square

• Dement/Recessive

• genes

Page 12: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Animal cell

Parts of the animal cell• Nucleus-Brain of the cell.

• Cytoplasm- Jelly like substance.

• Mitochondria- the power house of the cell.

• Vacuole- Stores the waist of the cell

• Cell membrane- Protects the cell.

• Chromosomes- Carrier of Genes and DNA traits that you get form your parents.

Page 13: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Plant Cell

The difference between a plant cell and an animal cell is that the plant cell has two extra parts.

• chloral plat- Proses of food.

• cell wall- Protects the plant cell

Page 14: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Mitoses/Mitoses

• Mitoses Goes through the proses ones.

• Mitoses- goes through the proses and then splits up.

Page 15: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Punnentt Square

A Punnet square helps scientists figure out what genes you get from you parents.

Page 16: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Dominant/Recessive

Dominant always congers over recessive. So it decides witch genes you get from your parents.

Page 17: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Genes

Traits that you get from your parents. Such as brown hair or blue eyes.

Atoms and molecules

• Matter/state of matter

• Atom

• Element

• Periodic table

• compounds

• mixture

• chemical/physical

• molecules

Page 19: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Matter/state of matter

Matter-What all living and none living things are made up of.

3 states of matter

1.)Solid-Its has a definite shape.

2.)Liquid-takes the shape of its container.

3.)Gas-Does not have a definite shape.

Page 20: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Atom

Atom-The building blocks of matter.

Parts of an atom

1.)protons-have positive charge and located in the nucleus.

2.)Neutrons-No charge and located in the nucleus.

3.)Electrons-Have a negative charge and are located on the rings of the atom.

Page 21: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Element

Element-A substance that can not be broken down.

Page 22: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Periodic table

Periodic table-The Atomic number letter substance and mass.

Atomic number- The number of protons in the atom

Atomic letter- The symbol for the element

Substance-The element that your using.

Page 23: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Compound

Compound-A bunch of elements compound to make a new substance.

Page 24: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Mixture

Mixture-A bunch of substance that are not combined.

Page 25: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Physical/chemical

Physical-only changes looks.

Chemical-changes into a different substance.

Page 26: S:\Students\2014\R Smith\Multimedia\Science

Molecule

Molecule- A molecule is atoms combined.
