Strategies for Parents Encourage your child’s efforts in completing
homework assignments. Help make sure your child understands the
work that has been done. Ask your child to explain their thinking. Look at your child’s notebook, read some of
the explanations that have been written. If the explanations are not clear, talk with your child about why you think they may need more explanation.
