Standards and workforce development
• DSD and TPQI signed MOU to collaborate in developing skill standards and competency standards to reflect industry’s demand.
• TPQI supports education institutions in developing curriculum from competency standards by handing in the standards to the followings:
1. Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) 2. Association of Private Technological and Vocational Colleges (APTVC)3. Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC)4. Office of Private Education Commission (OPEC)5. Association of Private Higher Education Institutions of Thailand (APHEIT)
1. Stakeholders Meeting (Industry, Government agencies, associations, etc.)
2. Professional Writer contracted (Universities, associations, Institutions) and must follow TPQI’s TOR
3. - Pre and post public promotion through different target media- invite stakeholders to participate in occupational standards setting- study and analyze related OS from 2 oversea countries and 1 SEA country
4. Workshops with working group (industrial representatives) for OS setting and qualifications according to TPQI template and TPQF
5. Table the OS & Q to Endorsement committee for consensus
6. Public Hearing: stakeholders (to review if needed)
7. Workshops for developing assessment tools against OS
8. Evaluate & Verify the validity, reliability and difficulty of assessment tools
9. Pilot test of the assessment tools with assessees
10. Table the assessment process and assessment tools to Endorsement Board
11. Report to TPQI (OS, assessor manual, OS manual and assessment tools)
