Marco Onado

Professor of Financial Institutions at Bocconi University, Milan Chairman of Pioneer Investments

Marco Onado is a Professor of Financial Institutions at Bocconi University, Milan. He is also an independent Chairman at Pioneer Global Asset Management. He is a Member of the Scientific Committee of Prometeia, Associazione per le Ricerche Econometriche, Bologna, and leading economic journals such as Banca Impresa Società, L’Industria and Mercato Concorrenza Regole. He is a columnist at the economic daily, Il Sole 24 Ore, and author of numerous books and articles on economy and finances. Onado was a full Professor of Banking in Bologna from 1984 – 2001 and in Modena from 1972 – 1984. We was also visiting Professor at University College of North Wales, Bangor, in 1984 and at Brown University, Providence (R.I), in 1989. From 1993 to 1998, he was a Commissioner of Consob at the Italian Securities Commission and a Member of the Commission, Commissione Draghi, for the reform of the Italian Securities Act from 1997 – 1998. Onado was also a Member of CNEL, Consiglio Nazionale dell’Economia e del Lavoro, as an expert designated by the President of the Republic.
