Lake Baikal, in eastern Siberia, is a miracle of nature. It's the deepest lake

on Earth and it contains more water than all the Great Lakes of America

put together.

More than 300 rivers flow into Lake Baikal and only one river, the Angara, flows outwards. By the way, if the lake was suddenly no longer be fed with the water from rivers, and the Angara continued to flow, it would take 400 years to all the water gone from the lake.

Baikal is about 25 million years old.
