StudyMate helps students "master the basics" of course material through learning activities, self-assessments, and games. A dozen activities – such as flash cards, crosswords and quizzes – engage students with course content in an individualized way.

Students access StudyMate activities using computers, tablets, and smartphones.

StudyMate also integrates seamlessly with learning systems, such as Blackboard, ANGEL, Canvas, Desire2Learn, Moodle, and more.

Instructors or students may enter glossary terms, facts and questions using StudyMate's simple templates (promotes student interaction).These materials are then transformed into a dozen learning activities and games, such as flash cards, crossword puzzles and self-quizzes. Four types of items can be created or imported by StudyMate: 1. Fact items, 2. Term/Definition items, 3. Multiple Choice and 4. Calculated items. All four item types can reside in the

same StudyMate file.

StudyMate Author is offered to Tidewater Community Instructors through a VCCS pre-purchased license and should be accessed and downloaded using LICENSE key

Information is found in your Bb Home Page in the tabs at the top right corner. The tools are listed in a column on the very right hand side once you click either Teach or College Connect.

compatible with the following learning management systems and industry standards:

Designed activities are available in eCampus Course and in mobile learning format via the StudyMate Class Phone App which can be used on smart phone or tablets.

Questions or “items” can be imported from other file formats such as MS Word, Rich Text, or Respondus.

1. From the Start menu, select the Import Wizard.

2. Select the type of file to be imported

(MS Word .doc or .docx, Rich Text, Text, IMS QTI, StudyMate Class format, Respondus, or Respondus Archive).

3. Browse to and select the file being imported.

4. Preview the import results to check for errors, then click Finish to complete the import.

Thousands of publisher test banks, designed specifically for StudyMate Class, are now available from the Respondus Test Bank Network.

request. The publisher will send an email containing the download code and instructions for using it with StudyMate.

You may grade student participation in StudyMate Class activities on a number of levels:

items created,

items edited,

and/or items viewed.

Use the “Settings” tab to establish that you will be grading the activity by checking the box to “Enable grading,” providing the “Grade Column Name” that will appear in the Grade Center, and entering the “Points Possible.”
