Definisi Islam

Iman asas Elemen utama Worldview

It (belief in God’s existence) is very important, perhaps the most important element in any worldview. First if we do

believe that God exists, then we are more likely to believe that there is a plan and a meaning of life, ……if we are

consistent, we will also believe that the source of moral value is not just human convention but divine will and that God is the highest value. Moreover, we will have to believe that knowledge can be of more than what is observable and

that there is a higher reality – the supernatural world. …….if on the other hand, we believe that there is NO GOD

and that there is just this one world, what would we then be likely to believe about the meaning of life, the nature of ourselves, and after life, the origin of moral standards,

freedom and responsibility and so on.

Shaykh Atif al-Zayn: Konsep wahyu

Konsep din-daulahkesatuan spiritual dan material.

Sayyid Qutb: Suatu keseluruhan

dipisahkan oleh elemen atau bagian (juz').

Naquib Al-Attas: Konsep tentang hakekat Tuhan,

konsep Wahyu (al-Qur’an), konsep penciptaan,

konsep jiwa, konsep ilmu, konsep din konsep kebebasan, nilai dan kebajikan,

konsep kebahagiaan.dll.

Elemen Pandangan Hidup Islam

Peradaban Barat adalah campuran dari peradaban Yunani

kuno yang di kawinkan dengan peradaban Romawi, dan disesuaikan dengan elemen-

elemen kebudayaan bangsa Eropah terutamanya Jerman, Inggeris dan

Perancis. Prinsip-prinsip asas dalam Filsafat, seni, pendidikan dan

pengetahuan diambil dari Yunani; prinsip-prinsip mengenai hukum dan

ketatanegaraan diambil dari Romawi. Sementara agama Kristen yang berasal

dari Asia Barat disesuaikan dengan budaya Barat

Peradaban Barat Modern

The idea of modernity make science, rather than God, central to society and at best

relegates religious belief to the inner realm of private life. The mere presence of technological

applications of science does not allow us to speak of modern society. Intellectual activity

must also be protected from political propaganda or religious beliefs; ….public and

private life must be kept separate…..the idea of modernity is therefore closely associated with

that of rationalization.
