My School magazine front cover

For the Preliminary Exercise I was asked to create a school magazine front cover and contents page. I will show here how

exactly I made the school front cover.

The Main Image

This is the main image I have used as the background image. It is a mid shot of a school student holding a gold ‘A’ to show great results in the school.

Splash for the price

I added this splash for the price to go on to look effective and to make it stand out at the top of the page by the masthead.

Adding the price

The next step I took was to add a text box over the splash so I could write in the price. It had to fit in the splash so I had to write the price smaller.

The Masthead

Now I added the masthead onto the front cover by adding a text box at the top of the page and typing in the name of the magazine. I then individually highlighted each letter to make it different.

Main Cover line

This is the main cover line that I used on the magazine.

Extra Cover Lines

I added two more cover lines to the magazine.

The Date

Then I added the date under the Masthead.

Issue NumberI then added the issue number at the top of the magazine.
